POEM DAY

My Perfect Valentine

Observing the stars,
You came into mind.
I thought about your love for me.
It’s so fine.

Whenever you hug me,
Whenever you’re there,
I feel so secure.
I know you really care.

At times we’re together,
Not knowing what to say.
All we do is hold hands.
Then our love lights the way.

There are instances we argue,
But time granted us to ponder,
Then we work things out.
It makes our love stronger.

I’ve nothing to worry about.
Gone are moments I thought we’d part.
Thinking of you makes me smile.
You’ll forever be in my heart.

DRAGONFLY

Hello Tuesday, you’re wet again but that’s ok we need rain, now this weeks extreme creature is the dragonfly.

The dragonfly is one of the fastest flying insects in the world, with the larger species capable of speeds of up to 70km/h. It’s also incredibly nimble in the air, it can hover, fly in zigzags and go backwards.

Adult dragonflies are characterised by a pair of large, multifaceted compound eyes, two pairs of strong, transparent wings, sometimes with coloured patches, and an elongated body. They have a lifespan of 7-56 days.

Dragonflies come in all sorts of colours like yellow, red, brown, and blue; sometimes the wings have brown spots and bands. Male damselflies typically have iridescent wings and some type of colourful blue, green, or purple body, while the females usually have a golden brown colour, even on their wings.

Who eats them? Just about everything. Birds, especially the more acrobatic flyers such as flycatchers, swallows, kingfishers, falcons and kites, eat countless dragonflies, while spiders, praying mantids, robber flies and even early-emerging bats will dine on dragonflies as well. FACTS

Good morning world, I am doing better then I did yesterday for some reason yesterday morning I was in a right mood. Internet wasn’t working and my concentration was shocking, but today I am ok. Anyway it’s Monday and that means it is fact day.

Leonardo’s painting, Mona Lisa is the most famous object on Earth but it’s not insured. No one can afford the premiums………..

If each count was a second long, it would take about 12 days to count to a million and 32yrs to count to a billion.

The words for the American national anthem “Star Spangled Banner” were written by Francis Scott Key but the tune was originally from an ancient Greek drinking song called “Anacrean in Heaven.

The word “girl” appears only once in the Bible.

It is or was illegal to say “Oh Boy” in Jonesboro, Georgia

WEEK 5 OF 2022

MUM’S BIRTHDAY SHE WOULD BE 82

After a rough start to the night with me being somewhat impaired I ended up having a decent nights sleep.

Really tired all day at 9.30 I went for a lay down the next thing I knew it was 11am.

Did bugga all today

30-1-22

Slept in this morning till 5.30am rang Tasha straight away and she was in a rush. She is doing the traffic controller course, over the next few days. At 8am Tasha walked in the course has been cancelled today.

Kelli drove me over to the cemetery, then we went and picked up RAT tests from the schools, Leo was given two both Blain & Daemon received four each.

I wonder how long before parents of young and special needs children decide it is too big a battle and stop doing it. They are nasal swab tests.

I give it a month.

Tim has a late arvo start.

31-1-22

Had a good night awake at 4.30 up at 4.50 washed, dressed and ready for the day.

Sandy came over to drop off a heap of photos from mum & Dad’s place for me to go through. She was here a while.

Sydney-May’s first day of high school, I hope it goes well.

A stinking hot day, air con going all day.

1-2-22

First day of school for Leo and Blain, Brian was late getting here to get Leo it was 8.25 which may not seem late but was expecting him around 8.10, so I rang and ask Kelli if she knew if Jess had checked with Brian that he was getting Leo, she had.

Sandy called in to pick something up and we had a chat about Dawson and Michelle, she has been given a place in Windale brand new and dirt cheap. She knows how to work the system.

Tasha is doing her white card course, I do not know what a white card is, just know she needs it to do traffic control work.

2-2-22

Woke at 4am needing to pee got up at 4.20 by the time Tasha arrived I was drenched in sweat and it isn’t hot or even warm in fact it is somewhat cool.

Did a lot of crying today, in fact I would say I have been an emotional wreck today.

So many things I want to do but haven’t been able to do anything much.

3-2-22

4.45 saw me roll out of bed and I do in fact roll out of bed using the momentum of rolling to get up.

A cool wet day pretty much all day.

Tasha has workmen at her place all day, no idea why.

Had a good day till 5pm when I was in tears again, why I don’t really know. All I could think was I don’t want to die, I just want to be better.

It is now 6.30 and I am going to bed.

4-2-22

I got up when Kathy texted me she was on her way, I got things ready for my shower and opened the house up.

Kathy arrived showered me, made my breaky and did some housework for me.

Kerbside bulk waste collection from Monday so Tim busy taking stuff up the front. Kelli & Jono also taking a lot shit out for it.

Kelli & Jono started looking and applying for rental places.

POEM DAY

Harlem

Langston HughesBy Langston Hughes More Langston Hughes

What happens to a dream deferred?

      Does it dry up
like a raisin in the sun?
      Or fester like a sore—
      And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
      Or crust and sugar over—
      like a syrupy sweet?

      Maybe it just sags
      like a heavy load.

      Or does it explode?

SAILFISH

Good morning all here we are at Tuesday again and we are only in February.

This weeks extreme creature is the Sailfish, this is the worlds fastest fish with a shape that is perfect for moving fast through the water. It has been clocked at a top speed of 110km/h.

The largest sailfish ever caught was 11.2 feet (340 cm) long and weighed 220.5 pounds (100 kg). 4. Sailfish can live for 13 to 15 years. However, sailfish caught and released by sport fishermen have an average lifespan of only 4 to 5 yrs

The all-tackle world record for a sailfish caught in the Pacific: 221 pounds (Ecuador, 1947); for a sailfish from the Atlantic: 142 pounds, 6 ounces (Angola, 2014). Iconic for their distinctive high, blue dorsal fins, sailfish generally live offshore but near coasts, often over deeper reefs.
