THE WEEK THAT WAS aka WEEK1

Woke at 4.36 up shortly afterwards washed myself but had to wake Tim to dress me.

At around 9.30 Kelli and kids came over so she could wash up a couple of things using my bottle brushes. She also brought her vacuum and ran it over the floor for me.

Tim bought KFC for lunch, after lunch he went out on the motorbike to get Jess a handheld 2way radio.

1-1-2022

Had a decent nights sleep awake at 4.20 up at 4.45 due to shaking so much.

Kathy here at 6am without the girls. She did a few little jobs for me before she left.

Have bugga all motivation and concentration.

2-1-2022

Slept well but woke during the night with my left arm stuck behind my head and had to wake Tim to move it.

When I got up I had bugga all movement in my right arm and when I did use it there was a great deal of pain. My left arm is only a tad better.

Been a hardish day.

3-1-22

Had a not so good night, was restless and unsettled ended up getting up having a glass of milk and part of a sleeping tablet, that had once been Mum’s, which did the trick. I slept in till 5.40am.

Had to have a nap at 11.30 till 12.30.

Tim complaining there is no food in the house, as in nothing he felt like. So he went shopping for bread and salad stuff.

4-1-22

Had a better night, Tasha this morning was rushing around, I don’t know why but her mood had me forget to ask her to rub cream into my arms.

It is another hard day shaking a bloody lot and my arms are very sore. So sore I am in tears.

5-1-22

Slept in till 5.36 which was a surprise and I did sleep well. Tasha was already here waiting for me to wake up.

Pain still bad but I did manage to take down Chrissy decorations and pack them away.

Tim took car into Klosters about the reversing buzzer and wipers, it is going to cost over $2000 to fix the wipers. This car is costing us a bloody lot of money.

6-1-22

Had another decent nights sleep woke at 4.45am struggled to get out bed but of course managed it.

Tim took me to have CT scan done on my right arm.

My left arm is also very sore again with limited movement.

Unable to do grocery shop the Coles page will not load which is very frustrating.

I am in a bad way this afternoon.

POEM DAY

This New Year

Published: February 2011

Even during the worst of times
When I feel the years go slipping by
Life seems rife with possibilities
When the New Year arrives.

Buoyed by hope at the New Year coming
I feel renewed and want to start living.
This year I’ll travel and see the sights,
I’ll be bold, I’ll be courageous.

I’ll reach out and go beyond.
I might even try being flirtatious!
I’ll be a new fish in a brand-new pond.
This new year I’ll be brave and I’ll be strong.

Even though time does fly,
I won’t let this year be wasted.
I’ll look forward to new adventures
And be open to opportunities I am graced with.

I’ll learn and laugh and have good times.
I won’t dwell on years gone by.
I’ll start each new morning a brand-new way.
I’ll pretend it is New Year’s Day!

LITTLE PENGUIN

Hello Tuesday here is this weeks extreme creature and this week it is the little penguin which is the smallest of the 17 types of penguin in the world.

A full grown adult is about the same length as a ruler and weighs only a kilogram. They can be found living in colonies along the coast of southern Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand.

WEEK ONE FACTS

Hello world damn I am in pain just saying.

Here are the first facts post for 2022.

A French schoolboy, Claude Chappe, went to great lengths to send messages to his brother. Using two wooden arms mounted on a long high pole, he put together a system that could send thousands of different words. He could tilt the two arms at different angles by turning some handles. Different arm positions stood for different words. As the arms were high in the air, his brother could see them if he was hundred metres away. In the 1770’s he gave his invention to the French revolutionaries.

This system called semaphore was also adopted by the British who used it to keep in touch about the battle of Waterloo.

Duelling was once legal in Paraguay as long as both parties were registered blood donors.

A female kangaroo is called a Flyer the male is a Boomer

A lions roar can be heard up to five miles away or just over 8 kilometres.

The male Gypsy Moth can smell a virgin female Gypsy Month fbrom 2 miles away or 3.2 kilometres.

Goodbye 2021

BOXING DAY

Slept well enough woke at 4.30 and straight up washed and dressed for the day.

Tim & I went over to see Kathy’s new house, it is bloody great looks bigger inside then out. Her girls liked their gifts.

26-12-21

Two days after Christmas and life returns to normal more or less. A cool and wet morning.

Tim at work today raining on and off all day.

Pain sitting around a 6 or 7 today.

Zero motivation today.

27-12-21

A new day and another coldish and wet morning.

Kathy rang she is waiting in line to have her 3rd Covid test in 2 weeks and has been in line for an hour with many cars in front of her.

She ended up waiting 3.5hrs only to be turned away because they were full whatever that means.

Too many people are going to get tested that really don’t need to.

Kathy & Micheal dropped the girls off while they went to Costco they had a ball playing with Daemon, Freya & Leo.

28-12-21

An early start had to get up at 4.10 to pee and stayed up. A cool dry morning.

Tim is off for the next few days.

I feel very tired today so I had a 45min lay down, after which I felt better.

29-12-21

Slept in till 5am, woke up stiff again but managed to do stuff like get up and have a wash.

Tim has gone shopping with Tasha, who bought for me a heap of Christmas for next year as well as Christmas cards.

Tried to vacuum but my legs were shaking too much for me to stand.

30-12-21

Slept well till 4.34 when I woke thought I would lay there for half an hour, only to get cramps in my leg so I got up 5 mins later.

Last day of 2021.

Tim whipper snipped the back yard for the first time in years,in shorts and no shirt, so he now has small nicks all over his legs and stomach.

Family

God gave each of us a special family
that we can call our own.
A family that loves us for who we are
so we would never feel alone.

They may not like everything we do
or everything we say,
but the beautiful thing about “family”
is that they love us anyway.

Sometimes we feel rejected
by people who do not care,
but our hearts are warmed when remembering
that our family is always there!

So hug them a little more often,
for sometimes we hurt the ones we love.
And tell them how much you love them,
for they were sent to you from above

MY CHRISTMAS DAY

Another Christmas over and the first without Mum or Dad and in many ways it has been hard so very hard but my girls wanted to make it special for me.

Tasha & Kelli did the cooking and Kathy brought an apple crumble for desert and Kelli bought a pavlova while Tasha made caramel tarts.

The morning didn’t start off well with my body being stiff and me being unable to move my arms. It was so hard to move that I rang Tasha and that was a mistake, she went off her head about her father not getting up and helping me. Her tone and what not upset me and Tim, she spoke with no respect and Tim got it into his head that she hates him. She doesn’t get why we feel hurt and upset.

Thankfully after all was said and done both Tim & I had a damn good Christmas Day.

I received some nice gifts from my brother and Leigh, Dawson’s mother Michelle, my daughter Kathy and niece Kelli. I thank them all.
