Up and sweating from 5.25am although not that hot at the moment. Although I expect that to change.

The 2023 calendars arrived at last. As well as some birthday gifts.

Received an email about a click and collect I am waiting on they are now shipping it to me from the warehouse, the store must be out of stock.

I am having a good morning pain and mobility wise so decided not to stand and make breakfast in case it set off the pain. Tasha brought me Maccas.

Tim has been granted his loss of earns claim so will be paid via the driver’s CTP. The claim was back dated to the 1 December.

Leo is still here been here for 3 nights. To me is Leo but when I address him I call him Sam as that is what he wants.

Rained all bloody night thankfully Tim remembered to place the bucket with a towel under it to catch the rain. I found the bucket nearly half full with water.

No rain during the day.

CHRISTMAS DAY

I fell out of bed and we had to ring Sam to help me up, I have had a shocking morning many tears and frustrating.

Tasha cooked lunch with help from Jess and her dad. I received no gifts just a hand made card from Jess.

All in all it has been a so so day.

BOXING DAY

Up at 5.20am found Tim already up he did go to bed early last night I have been a short temped bitch the last few days.

At 11.30 we went over to Kathy’s for lunch which was awesome great food and better company. They also gave us gifts.

Micheal helped me into the car with ease.

I was up at 5.20am found Tim up since 4am. Another stinking hot day I will be drenched in sweat all day.

Kathy and the girls came over and Kathy showered me. She also changed the sheets.

I closed the house up to block out the heat.

Wednesday already and suppose to be another hot one.

Tasha came down and helped me sort out clothes mine and Tim’s tossed out a bloody lot. As in donated.

Had a talk to Tim about how he complains I mumble or speak to softly but if I raise my voice he says I am yelling or I am angry, so I feel like I can’t win. He didn’t say much but I hope he gets it.

In for another hot day but not to bad at the moment which is at 6.45am.

Got hot enough for me to be drenched in sweat most of the day.

Tasha brought my scooter back.

Another good night till 4.20 when I needed to pee, I spent ages standing in front of the fan trying to pull my pants up. I had my knickers in a twist and was drenched in sweat, I ended up waking Tim to help me.

I got up for the day at 5.40am, going to be another hot one, but nice now with the doors opened and the fan going.

Kelli and the kids came over so I was able to give them their gifts which they liked.

Kelli also putting me to bed.

NEW YEAR’S EVE

Up at 5.20 feeling good hope it lasts.

Kathy came and showered me and that’s all she did, after she left I realised I should have asked her to fold the clothes.

Tim will help me into bed,no staying up to see the new year in for me or Tim.

END OF YEAR POST

Well hello everyone it is Wednesday 28 December and I want to say I am sorry for not posting much recently but I have had zero motivation and my Christmas Spirit has been in the grave yard visiting my parents.

2022 has been another shocking year from the 30 May when the tree came through our roof, we still have a leak in the kitchen. Yes we got a new disable friendly bath room and a new kitchen not short ass friendly. We are still waiting for the new ramp at the front door.

My Christmas was ok not great I wasn’t happy a and cried a fair bit more then I let on and of course I was drenched in sweat. No gifts from Tim or Tasha or Jess I did get a gift from Kathy and grew. Also from my brother’s family and two of my sisters.

Getting in our car is a nightmare we have a Mitsubishi Outlander and it’s too high. Tim has decided to look for something smaller.

Tim is recovering well and hopes to return to work by February.

I hope all my online friends had a bloody great Christmas and I will be back in 2023.

WEEK 51 OF 2022

Here we are at another Sunday, had a painful night with my right thigh. I managed to get out of bed on my own this morning. Tasha and Tim took the microwave into the kitchen.

A wet day for most of the day and kinda cold as well not December weather at all.

Managed to put a few things away in the kitchen but a bloody lot more to do. I asked Kathy if she could come and help, she said she can on Wednesday.

Jess putting me to bed.

Had a better night up at 5.15 my thigh is still painful as well as my left knee. Tim is up early 6am complaining he is cold. Another cold and wet day.

Kelli and Sam came and hung photos and Tim hung the Christmas cards for me so I am feeling happier.

Kelli came and gave my leg a good massage.

Saw Sandy and Denni, Temika stayed in the car.

Had a bit of a sleep in getting up at 5.50am, Tim also got up to pee so was able to help me change my pants. I am wearing long pants in bloody December.

Asked Tasha to help put stuff back in the kitchen after an argument and her slamming things around she did it. I tossed out a lot of stuff.

Sandra called in and took some of the containers I no longer want.

Woke in another mood like I did yesterday as I was dropping stuff and shaking a lot.

My mood improved during the day, Kathy arrived around midday to colour Tasha’s hair and help us with the house. She put some of the glasses away.

Tim went to see the GP to have how he is healing assessed all is going well.

Slept better didn’t wake in a mood which is good. Had only cheese and crackers for breaky till Tasha arrives with Macca’s.

I managed to do the food shopping without issue.

I am, however, drenched in sweat which makes going to the toilet bloody difficult.

Jono’s birthday he is 35 today.

Another decent night up and washed ready for the day. I am looking forward to a late lunch at Dave’s with the siblings.

Jessica came and helped my dress for lunch and get me into the car which was a task and a half.

Lunch was great, Jeannie was a no show and Temika didn’t want to go so she went to a mates instead.

Sandy and Denni decided to stay the night at Dave’s.

Jessica came and got me ready for bed.

CHRISTMAS EVE

May have gone to bed much later then usual but was still up by 5.20am. Had to ring Tasha as Tim left my walker in the car and I needed it.

Sandy brought over my Christmas present a non slip lap table which I will use a lot.

While she was here her and Tasha sorted out the kitchen and she helped Tim bring out the chairs for the dinning table.

Later Kathy arrived and vacuumed and showered me.

CHRISTMAS GREENERY

Evergreens, the symbol of eternal life, are as much a part of Christmas now as always for many people. The wreath upon the door seems to say Welcome the spirit of Christmas is in this home.

The garlands that decorate some stairs and other parts of the house bring a feeling of joy and friendship in such homes.

Kissing under the mistletoe (not an Aussie thing) is a popular thing for many, it is a custom that started in Rome.

Love and kinship take on a new glow when the twinkling tree sounds out its little messages of warmth and holiday spirit.

There is no other time of year when our homes are as opened to friends and loved ones. As we decorate our rooms and tree in a special way we are preparing our hearts for the coming of the Christ Child for whom all is said and done.

This is what Christmas is really all about.

CHRISTMAS LOVE

Christmas is a happy and cherished time all around the world. This is a time when family ties seem stronger and closer than ever. It is a time to draw together the strands of friendship that have loosened throughout the busy year.

Christmas means many things to many people, but the key words to its joy are “loving” and ”giving”. Gifts and greetings pour out in a great flood during this season.

New friendships are formed, old ones renewed and revitalised, this is a time when heart speaks to heart and the message is LOVE….
