My Week

Saturday at last, I woke at 5.30am after a good nights sleep. Kathy & Summer came over so she could shower me and iron a few things.

Jess working today and Leo has been here all day.

A cold morning and a very cool day.

Had a distressing nights sleep partly because Tim was restless and a sod he kicked me for touching him, well it felt like that. He said my foot touched his and it tickled so he jerked and that’s how I was kicked.

Tim working today

Tasha & others say it is bloody cold but not to me, to me it is just nice.

Last day of May and I woke with the alarm after a mostly good nights sleep.

Had my mammogram this morning I was in and out pretty quick. Tim took me to the appointment.

While eating a piece of liquorice and a small piece got stuck in my throat. It took an hour to dislodge.

Woke at 5am couldn’t go back to sleep so got up and texted Tasha.

Tim rang up about the appointment in Sydney, was told Is need to see him in his private rooms, so I emailed off the referral and was called straight back as I sent the wrong form. This I fixed by sending the right form. So now I just have to wait, till I hear back.

Got into a mood when I asked Tim if he was taking me to the appointment at the JHH on Friday morning. He said NO he has other appointments on Friday and then went on that he didn’t know about my appointment.

I got annoyed as I have had this appointment since March with the letter taped to the lounge-room wall above my computer.

I knew Tasha wouldn’t do it and expected Jess to say the same. The don’t like hospital appointments. Tasha said she will speak to Jess.

Up with the alarm as did Tim, I was in the bathroom having my morning wash when Tim said he needed the bathroom as he had to get ready for work.

He then went on about how Jess doesn’t want to take me to the hospital on Friday, I said what did I say yesterday.

I asked Sandy but she is busy also.

Jess said she will come with me with me if Tim drives us.

Had another night with issues with my Cpap mask not staying done up.

Tim is sure we have another one I don’t think so but will have a look for it.

Tim helped me look but there is no mask anywhere.

Started raining at 1pm, and the temperature dropped. So I wasn’t able to meet Leo.

Up before the alarm, and dressed to go out as I had appointment at the sleep clinic about my Cpap machine. Jess came with me which was good. Tim drove us over and came and picked us up.

They said the pressure was set to high and they changed it so I will see how it goes tonight.

I was also told it was too dirty and reminded about cleaning the filter.;

Poem Day

Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night

Dylan ThomasBy Dylan Thomas More Dylan Thomas

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rage at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Facts Facts Facts

Good morning, yes it I still morning, so it’s Monday and that means it is fact day.

Once it was thought that 50% of all bank robberies took place on a Friday afternoon because shops would deposit their weekly takings on a Friday afternoon.

Once if you saw the name “Alan Smithee” in film credits, it was because the person didn’t want their real name to appear as the film was consider that bad.

The oldest document in Latin is in a woman’s handwriting, it dates from the first century A.D. And is an invitation to a birthday party.

The oldest letter in Britain is also an invitation to a birthday party. It was sent by a Roman to his friend at Hadrian’s Wall, the letter is about 1,000 years old.

The Roman postal service was that good it could carry a letter from London to Cardiff in three days

Saturday at last

Beds R Us open at 10am and Natasha has already agreed to call them as I often find that people say they have trouble understanding me over the phone.

Tasha rang about the mattress and said it will be all set up when I get home

Jess, Leo & I went to Kelli’s for lunch, she did a casserole//stew and it smelt and tasted like what Mum would make.

Jess stopped and bought bread and a caramel tart for dessert.

When I got home Tasha helped me do the medications.

Awake and up at 6am as per usual after a decent nights sleep on the new mattress.

Tim had a doctors appointment and was suppose to get a Dr certificate for the bin service I have to continue.

We had discussed why I was asking him to get it instead of me having to go and see him, however, I had made an appointment for Wednesday just in case.

Well when he got home I asked him about it and he said it will be ready when you go on Wednesday, WTH, when I reminded Tim why I asked him to ask about it he said he forgot. Talk about annoying.

Leo’s early day

Up at 5.30 tried to ring Tasha but it kept going to voicemail, so sent her a text. She came and showered me.

A cold start but a warmish day.

Tim forgot his phone and my first thought was I should ring him and let him know, what a silly thought.

Up at 6.15 with the alarm, had a decent night sleep.

Had a Dr appointment about the letter I needed for the council in order to keep the Blue dot service for the bins.

I also asked about another referral for an OT, he said it is difficult to find someone who is taking new referrals.

Tasha is looking into it

Tasha came and hung out my laundry.

A new day,up at 6am and a cold start to the day.

I had an appointment with my podiatrist my feet are good.

Warmed up by 11ish and had to change into lighter pants.

Managed to answer three letters this afternoon.

Leo here tonight

Woke at 5,30 and needing to pee I got up straight away and had a good wash that included shaving my underarms. I even managed to dress myself without crying.

Tim mentioned a few times how cold it is, I am not cold inside the house, outside is somewhat cold. Although he still r ode the motorbike to work.

Leo was home by 3.10, I was sitting outside Tasha’s talking to her when the van pulled up, I thought the bell didn’t go to 3.20.

ust Wait For The Sun

When everything’s darkness
And you feel so alone,
When the rain doesn’t stop
And you can’t make it home,
When it feels all is lost
And you just want to run,
It can’t rain forever.
Just wait for the sun.

When family is pain,
When friends can’t be found,
When you just want to scream
But you can’t find the sound,
When it’s all your fault,
And you feel like you’re done,
Just wait for the sun.
The sunshine will come.

The storm always passes.
It won’t last forever.
The rain always stops and gives way to good weather.
The brightest and warmest of days still to come.
Please wait for the sun.
The sunshine will come.

People who need you,
People who still love you
Can warm up your soul like the sunshine above you.
You’re never alone,
No matter what’s done.
Wait for the sun.
Just wait for the sun.

Dark clouds always pass.
I promise you, hun.
We’re all waiting with you.
Just wait for the sun.

My Saturday Post On Monday Because I Forgot

I woke at 4am and between then and 5.40am when I got up I only dozed on and off.

Another cold day.

I went through Mum’s jewellery and placed each piece in its own small plastic bag ready to distribute to the girls.

Woke with the alarm which was a surprise as from 4am I was somewhat restless and when I got fed up with not settling and decided to get up the alarm went off.

A bloody cold start to the day needed the heater on in the bathroom when getting dressed.

Went over to Mum’s place and was there for 3hrs again but the inside is done now.

I won’t be of any use doing under the house so won’t bother going over on Wednesday.

Awake and up at 5.30 from around 3am I had many episodes of sweating needing to throw off the covers till it passed.

Tasha gave me a shower first thing this morning.

A cold start but warmed up.

Awake at 5.35 after a shocking nights sleep, my Cpap mask wouldn’t stay done up, I need a new strap and a hair cut. I managed to get some sleep my laying on my right side with my hand under my head to hold the strap tight.

Been a warm day after a chilly start.

Had to take a cold tablet and a headache tablet and ½ a Phenergan as I am feeling awful.

Slept better last night thankfully, woke only once briefly and got up at 5.50am.

At 11.15 I asked Tim what time he had to leave he said 11.45 I said my copy of his rooster said he started at 11.48am. He jumped up and checked and rushed out as he was now running late.

Started out cold but warmed up.

Leo here tonight.

Awake and up at 5.40am after a ok nights sleep.

Started to rain around 10ish and rained pretty much all day so I wasn’t able to meet Leo had to send Tash.

Jess reminded me that on Sunday we are going to Kelli’s for lunch.

Had a decent sleep got up at 6am but around 9 I went back to bed till Kathy and the girls arrived. I then had a shower.

After Kathy & girls left Tim and I went over to Mum’s to pick up some stuff. We then went to Beds R Us and bought a new mattress, which should be delivered after 4pm.

At 4.45pm I said to Tim that I hoped the guy hadn’t forgotten about us he was suppose to deliver it on his way home from work. By 5.15 Tim agreed that we had been forgotten.

What made things worse is that Tim had removed the old mattress to outside and had to get Leo to help him drag it back in so we had something to sleep on.

The Darkness

© Dallas E. Krystof

Published: July 2018

You would never know it,
The constant pain I feel,
Because in the light of day
It almost isn’t real.

Sure, I’ll play, I’ll laugh,
I’ll sing some songs,
But that pain is always lurking
Because it’s been here all along.

And when the darkness comes
With its all-consuming power,
It slowly takes my soul
Hour by dreadful hour.

But they tell me that I’m strong enough.
They swear that it gets better.
They say, “If you can just hold out
and bear this stormy weather.”

They tell me, “You will be happy one day.
All you need do is fight.”
But what they seem to forget
Is after each day comes the night.

And so I act along.
I play my part
While this crushing darkness
Slowly breaks my heart.

Cleaning Out

As most people may have noticed I have not been around as much this is because I have been busy cleaning out my parents house. I am done as the inside is done, well as much as can be, the rest will be done after my nephew is relocated.

I was in charge of sorting through photos and paperwork and was there a lot of photos hundreds of photos. I tossed all the scenery ones, all the ones of people we don’t know and some that had multiple copies except one.

There were receipts dating back to the year 2000.

Also we found a shit load of wool and other knitting and crochet stuff, Mum didn’t crochet that belonged to my great-aunty Joyce, Dad’s aunt.

There is still under the house to be done but I would be useless when it comes to that.

We hired a 10 metre skip bin which was full in 2 days and was emptied and replaced. Of course that is expensive.

When I asked Mum why did she keep so much I heard her clearly say “because I couldn’t be bothered”.
