Week 15 of 2025

I had another good night sleeping straight through although I woke with a runny nose and have a headache again. Also, up earlier than normal as the clocks changed and I was awake, only 20-minutes earlier so that’s ok.

The bird Tim was fussing over last night died this morning which is sad.

It is another hot day, and I am having a rough arvo, my left hearing aid keeps falling out which is annoying.

7,129

I slept well in fact at 4am I was getting up as I thought it was 5am, although when I realised my mistake, I got back into bed for another hour.

Tim home for a couple of hours, he got a stern talking to about an accident he had a work a week ago, damaged the bus and something on the street. He still has his job though; he was sure he would get the sack over it.

I have had another bad afternoon with the uncontrollable movement of my body. Did a video and shared it on Facebook so others can see what I have to cope with some days.

I turned the air con on around 1.15pm for a few hours as I was hot and didn’t want to deal with the heat.

Steps: 7,899

I woke up with a headache which is annoying it is a nice cool morning. I used a small, long-life milk to make my porridge this morning.

This morning Sam was picked up by a different driver in a different van, not sure if Joel is off sick or what.

I have felt ok for most of the day did the usual housework.

Sue rang she had a phone call from the hearing aid people who told her my appointment is for 12.30 tomorrow, I don’t know why I would make it for that time I don’t like appointments after midday. Sue managed to change the time till 8.45 instead.

This afternoon I am aching all over and feel extremely tired, I will be in bed by 7.30pm.

Steps:8,692

I woke up tired and my legs will not stop moving making it difficult to stand.

Sue and I went to the hearing aid place, me to have a check I all was good with my hearing aids. Sue had her hearing checked and yes, she needs hearing aids and thankfully she doesn’t need to pay as she is on a pension.

The difficulty with my legs went away by 9am.

After the hearing place we went to Coles so I could get a few things.

By 3pm I was extremely tied again, so tied I found concentrating on stuff almost impossible. I will be having another very early night.

Steps:7,399

I slept all night, and I am doing pretty good this morning, I am going to try and have an hour nap each day from midday to 1pm and see if that helps prevent the extreme tiredness I am feeling of an arvo.

I did have an hour nap, and it did help I am still very tired but not as bad as the last few days.

I did manage to write a few letters today.

The nap has helped I am tried this evening but not so much that I am falling asleep at 6pm.

Steps:6,988

I slept all night, and I am doing pretty good this morning, I had to wait till after Tim left for work to have a shower.

Received a wonderful text message from Sandy last night played it this morning and got all chocked up.

I had to ring Sue this morning as she wasn’t replying to my messages, she phone had restrictions on it as she hadn’t paid her bill yet. She went and spoke to someone about it, telling them she will pay it on the 17th but really needed to be able to receive messages as she was my carer, so they removed the restrictions.

We then went to her doctor’s appointment she has to see someone about her eyes as she needs three health professionals in order to get a care plan.

After that we went to the cemetery, Sue liked what I wrote and left on the headstone. She said I should send a copy of it to the other siblings.

Steps: 6,668

IT’S BEEN 4YRS TODAY SINCE MUM PASSED

I slept all night; I woke at 5.12am wondering where my phone was as it wasn’t next to the bed. I had left t in the lounge-room last night.

Tim and I went over to Lake Fair, I did some shopping while

Tim cashed in some bottles.

It has been a warm day, Tim did some more work in the back

yard and has started thinking about stuff he wants to do out

the front.

Steps:5,339

Week 13 of 2025

I slept straight through the night again, waking with the alarm, it is cool and wet this morning.

I have bugga all motivation this morning. I am also aching all over.

It has been raining on and off all morning.

It stopped raining around 2pm and Tim decided to go and sit outside for a while it was around 4pm when he came back inside.

I didn’t exercise at all today.

Steps: 2,068

I was woken at around 2.50am by Sam she was in a state, she had vomited and wasn’t able to sleep. I felt she was having a panic attack and was over tired. She was also on the phone with her mum. I held her and talked to her and calmed her down. At around 4.10 she fell asleep on Tim’s chair and around 4.30 I went back to bed for half an hour. She still wants to go to Tafe but us adults think she should have the day off.

Sam slept till 11.45am and when she awoke, she was feeling fine and admitted I was right and all she needed was sleep. She was fine with missing Tafe.

It has rained on and off all day.

I received a parcel this morning and when I opened it, I found a green dress with 3/4 length sleeves from Miller’s. I do not remember ordering it and I don’t wear clothes with sleeves very often. When I checked I have no record of buying this dress but it’s my size.

Steps:6,584

I had another good night, wasn’t sure what to wear when I got up shorts or longer pants.

Looks like I am going to have to put some of the clothes in the dryer as they are still damp. Only had to toss four pairs of pants in the dryer.

Sue took me to get my new hearing aids, and they are great.

My body is moving a lot this afternoon and due to the humidity, I am drenched in sweat.

Steps:10,686

I slept well, it is lovely this morning neither hot nor cold I like it when it’s like this.

By 10am it was hot and muggy again.

I had to ring the podiatrist and check when my appointment is, it’s tomorrow at 9am.

Sandy has paid me back all the money I lent her.

Steps:5,513

I slept straight through the night waking only when the alarm went off at 5am.

I was supposed to see podiatrist this morning but silly me forgot to tell Sue and was left without a ride so had to reschedule to the 1 April.

This afternoon I was suffering a lot of back pain and realised after I got comfortable in my recliner that I didn’t top up my drink, so I sent Sam a text and she came straight down and did it for me.

Steps: 6,253

I slept straight through the night again waking only when the alarm went off at 5am.

Tim has a long day ahead of him it will around midnight before he gets home.

It is a cool day for me I had to shut the front door for a little while.

I walked down and posted my letters.

At 19.35 or if that time confuses you 7.35pm last night I received a parcel delivery, I was surprised who delivers after dark. I was struggling to get out of my chair and thankfully the delivery man saw my struggle and opened the door and handed it to me.

I will leave the TV and Foxtel on when I go to bed and see if it stays on so Tim doesn’t struggle to figure out how to turn it on

Steps: 5,930

I slept straight through the night again waking only when the alarm went off at 5am.

Tim has a long day ahead of him it will around midnight before he gets home.

I woke to the sound of rain at 4.35 when I got up to pee, I decided I would have a sleep in so when the alarm went at 5am I turned it off and stayed in bed for what I thought would be half an hour but turned out to be only 10 minutes.

It has rained most of the day, Kathy rang just as Sam & Bailey arrived so she said she would ring back after lunch, but when she did, I was eating lunch, so I rang her back when I was finished. We chatted for around 15-minutes.

Tim was late home he didn’t arrived to around 7pm.

Steps:7,366

Week 12 of 2025

I had a damn good night slept straight through; it is warm at 6am so yeah, it’s going to be hot again.

I had to turn the air con on, I had a headache from the heat.

I decided to order pizza and get it delivered, haven’t done that in years but I walked in the kitchen couldn’t find anything for lunch, we have no bread, so decided on pizza.

It has been stinking hot all day out the back in the sunlight it was 48C at 1pm. It has finally sunk into Tim that often the temperature stated on apps and telly isn’t taken in the sunlight but in shade and there is often a big difference.

I had a damn good night slept straight through; it is much cooler this morning and there is a strong wind.

Tim had to come home from work he failed the breathalyser, he was just over, so he is now off for the day. I wasn’t surprised as he did drink a lot yesterday and he didn’t eat much all day.

This afternoon Tim booked our next cruise it will be next April as in April 2026. It is an Australian cruise going to Tassie. Jess and Tasha are coming with us. I wish Sue could come with us.

I am really tied and feel sad this afternoon.

I had another good night slept straight through again. A cool day and a productive morning doing housework.

It warmed up during the day but wasn’t hot.

After I had my wash, I did my makeup in the bedroom as Tim wanted to use the bathroom. I have decided I will do that in future as it will be easier than having to rush.

When I was getting the clothes out of the washing machine, I found one of Sam’s rings that was missing.

This afternoon I have felt tired and sad why I am sad I do not know.

I had to make a Dr’s appointment as I need a script, it’s Friday morning at 8.48am.

Steps: 7,949

I had another good night slept straight through again. A cool day but it is supposed to warm up.

Sue came over to ask for a roll of toilet paper, I gave her two rolls, also gave her the last couple of bottles of vodka cruisers. She drove me down to get a loaf of bread.

While waiting for Sam this arvo I started to feel like shit, extremely tired, slight headache and nauseas.

I felt unwell I went to bed at 7.15pm but woke at 9.30 and was unable to settle again, so 10pm I got and used the powerfit for 20minutes, after I finish this, I’m going back to bed.

Steps:10,399

I am feeling much better this morning and after I went back to bed I slept through the night. Tim only has his school runs today so will be home between 10am and 1.30pm.

It is 19C this morning but should reach 29C by 1pm, my BGL was 5.5

At around 11.15am I started to feel really tired again.

I turned the air con at 1.30pm.

I have zero motivation this afternoon but at least I don’t feel sick.

Steps:5,226

I had a good night; I am waiting for Tim to leave before I have a shower and get ready for the day.

It is currently 18C and we are looking at a top of 28C.

Sue drove me to the doctors all I needed was a script, I also went to Woolies for a couple of things.

It started to rain around 11am but thankfully stopped when I went up to wait for Sam.

Tasha came down looking for bolts in Tim’s shed she couldn’t find what she needed so she will be off to Bunnings tomorrow. Tim said he also needs to go to Bunnings.

Steps: 2,652

I had a good night; I sleeping straight through till the alarm went off.

I have a lot of lower back pain this morning and feel very tired, I started to fall asleep while waiting for Kathy to all and she rang at 10am.

After a slow start I picked up and managed to write a couple of letters and write up Monday’s and Tuesday’s blog posts.

Tim bought Macca’s for lunch what I wanted was right, but he wanted a Big Mac and that’s not what he got. He said he was going to ring and abuse them, I told him to ring and calmly say he got the wrong order, he did as I suggested and as we live close by, he went back, and they replaced the order without issue.

Tim also finally helped Tasha put a cupboard on her bedroom wall.

Steps: 9,306

Week 11 of 2025

I was up at 5am as per usual after a shower I was ready for the day even though I only had maybe 3hrs sleep last night.

Kathy and family called in so we could give Summer her birthday present, it was a crochet kit to make a turtle and a kangaroo, she loved it.

It started raining around midday and rained on and off for the rest of the afternoon.

By 2pm I was feeling oh so very tired. I did manager to stay awake till 8.30pm.

Steps:11,640

I slept well, didn’t wake till the alarm went off at 5am.

Sue took me to Woolies so I could get a few things.

Jess had me go over and help her prepare a casserole in her slow cooker, even though I had written out instructions for her. After it was done, she had Sam bring me a small bowl of it, I thought it tasted just fine.

It has been decided that Tim and I along with Tasha & Jess are going on a cruise in November, so I spent a couple of hours this afternoon finding a cruise and getting prices.

Steps: 5,699

I slept well, didn’t wake till the alarm went off at 5am. Although I went to bed at 8.30pm, woke at 10.30 and got up for an hour on returning to bed I went straight off to sleep.

It is a sticky morning, and I don’t like it.

Tim came home as his sporty was cancelled and while he was here, he had the front sliding door opened even though while I was in my armchair I was cold due to the breeze I said nothing. I did close the door when he went outside, and he opened it again when he came inside.

Steps: 5,380

I slept well, didn’t wake till the alarm went off at 5am. It is raining this morning and suppose to rain most of the day.

It started out cool but warmed up by 11am.

Well, it didn’t rain all day thankfully and this afternoon before I went to meet Sam I vacuumed out and mopped the kitchen and bathroom floors, I also folded the laundry these jobs took half an hour and left me feeling like shit. I was so unsteady I decided to take the scooter up to wait for Sam instead of walking.

Steps:5,667

I slept well, didn’t wake till the alarm went off at 5am. I have to wait till after Tim leaves to have a shower, it is going to be another warm day.

I turned the air con on at 1pm as I was sweating so much. Although when I walked outside it didn’t seem that hot.

Sam told me this afternoon that she is going away for the weekend with Bailey and his family, I hope she has a good time. I asked Sam if Bailey’s parents knew he was gay, she said he isn’t gay because he nonbinary. I said nothing but thought well yeah, he is gay as you are both male.

Tim decided it was time to again state to me how much he despises referring to Sam as she, I told him again I get it, but it is better than alienating Sam he said that he tries to just refer to use Sam’s name which is what I told him to do.

Steps: 6,227

KELLI’S BIRTHDAY SHE IS 31 TODAY

I slept well, didn’t wake till the alarm went off at 5am. We are in for another bloody hot day with a temp of 32C

I turned the air con on at midday and turned it off at 5pm.

Sam has gone away for the weekend with her friend Bailey and Bailey’s family.

Blain came down and asked if needed can he hang out here on Sunday as he doesn’t want to be alone in the house with Benny who still hasn’t left. Blain told his mum if Benny isn’t gone by the end of the month him and Ta’lia will be moving out.

Steps:10,621

I had a decent enough night, there is a lovely breeze through the house, but we are in for another bloody hot day.

Tim and I went over to Lake Fair, and he bought a couple of pairs of trousers. I got some photo frames then I went to Woolies for a few things.

Tim is working this arvo and night he said he should be home between 11.30 and Midnight.

It has been very hot today so hot I started to feel unwell and turned the air con in the bedroom on to help cool that part of the house down.

Steps: 2,999

Week 9 of 2025

After a much better night, I am up washed and dressed. Sue came over to see if she could help Tasha with her studies about massage and she could help a bit but said she has a book at home that may help, and she will look for it.

It is a hot day, but I haven’t turned the air con on. It reached 31C but I didn’t turn the air con at all. However, I will have the bedroom air con on when I go to bed.

I was in bed for an hour and was unable to settle so I got up to use the powerfit and update this entry, then I will go back to bed and try to settle.

Steps: 10,650

THEA’S BIRTHDAY SHE IS TWO TODAY

After I went back to bed it still took at least an hour to settle and fall asleep.

When I woke up, I wasn’t feeling good I don’t know if the reason is lack of sleep or lack of food, I didn’t eat much yesterday.

Sue and I went and had a massage, it felt good

I am extremely tired this afternoon.

Steps:5,577

I slept straight through the night, I woke up feeling tired, I hope that passes soon.

It has been a coldish and wet day, I walked up to get Sam in the rain this afternoon, I am glad I bought a rain poncho.

Steps: 10,087

I slept ok, not great it was after midnight before I settled fully.

Sue rang and let me know her car is out of rego till next week when she gets paid. She also noticed that she had a flat tyre, and she has a $600 power bill so right now she feels like she is drowning in debt.

Sandy rang to tell me she is moving again, as she has been offered a 4-bedroom place at Elermore Vale, a 10–15-minute drive from me, this is wonderful news.

Later Sandy rang to ask if Tim could loan her $2,500 for a removalist, DCJ just paid one to move her to Raymond Terrance and will not pay for one to move her to Elermore Vale

Steps:11,560

I slept ok, not great it was after midnight before I settled fully.

I have already vacuumed and fold the clean clothes up.

Now to read some blogs and do my Friday post.

It got to 34C here I had the air con on from 10.30am.

Didn’t do much other then put the clean clothes away, emptied the dishwasher, vacuumed a second time and I ironed a few things. I also managed to write three letters to penpals.

Steps:5,521

Week 8of 2025

What a night, I haven’t had a lot of sleep, but I am still up and dressed and starting my day. It is a chilly 17C only supposed to reach 21C, my BGL was 5.0

I sent Tim a short clip about Parkinson’s, and he couldn’t be bothered to look at it. This annoyed me, I am trying to help him, and others understand a bit about Parkinson’s.

I have been tired all day often dropping off for a moment while watching TV.

Steps: 5,238

I had a good night, slept straight through till the alarm went at 5am it is a coldish morning with the temp sitting at 15C only supposed to reach 21C again today.

Sue took me shopping as I wanted some stuff from Woolies and also needed stamps. While out we booked in to have a massage next Monday.

Dawson come over for a visit he was here for a couple of hours, it’s always nice to see him.

Sam arrived home while Dawson was here, she said Tafe went well but it felt like a long morning. There was no problem catching the bus home.

Steps:9,517

I had a good night, slept straight through till the alarm went at 5am it is a coldish morning with the temp sitting at 15C we are looking at a top temp of 26C today.

Sandy has got a rental place in Raymond Terrance,32k’s from me or a 41-minute drive from me. It isn’t somewhere she really wants to live but with only 3 weeks till she will be homeless she is just happy to have a place.

Steps: 7,533

I had a good night, slept straight through till the alarm went at 5am, after Tim left for work, I had a shower. It is currently 16C with a top temp of 26C.

Tasha was in a bit of a state as her ride to Tafe cancelled at 11pm and Sue isn’t answering her phone. She did eventually answer, and she drove Tasha to Tafe.

Sue took me to have my hearing checked and I got a quote on the basic hearing aids, $2,098. I will check with Tim and order them. I have another appointment on the 25 March.

We then went to the chemist to get scripts and webster pack for Sam, I rang on Friday to arrange the webster pack, it wasn’t done.

Had a nice talk with Sandy this morning.

This afternoon I walked up to meet Sam but while I was waiting a white van pulled in and I just knew it would be a delivery for us, so I came back, and it was, and it was heavy so I was glad I could get the delivery man to carry inside for me. I then decided to take the scooter up as my legs were shaking and I felt unsteady.

Steps:9,029

Week 5 of 2025

TIM’S BIRTHDAY HE IS 64 TODAY

I had a sleep in, I got up at 4.45 to pee and due to how tired I felt I decided to take my tablets and when the alarm went off at 5am I turned it off and stayed in bed till 5.30.

It is a cool morning with a temp of 17 degrees, my BGL was 5.5

Sue has been feeling sad today as it would also be Mick’s birthday, and it has made her sad.

I gave Tim the folder with the messages I asked people to write to him for his birthday, he has read through it and seems happy with it a bit surprised so many wrote something.

It has been a hot day reached a top of 29 degrees.

Kathy and the girls came over to see Tim and they gave him three small garden gnomes which he has placed around his garden out the back.

Here we are at another Monday, and it’s supposed to be a hot one, it is currently 23 degrees, and we are looking at a top temp of 32 degrees.0

Tim took Sam for a driving lesson they were gone a couple of hours.

By 2pm it was 33 degrees and by 4pm I was starting to feel unwell due to the heat. I have a headache and a runny nose and generally feel not so good.

It is 11.30pm and I just woke up drenched in sweat, Tim had turned the air con off when he came to bed. I won’t turn it back on, but I will use the fan in it and see how that goes.

Steps:7,661

Well, it’s Tuesday and we are in for a scorcher, it is currently 25C and we are looking at a top of 38C. My BGL was 4.8

Sue took me to have my hearing checked only to find out there were not opened. I had to reschedule I now go on the 13 Feb.

The temp reached 40C

Tasha’s boarder and friend’s dog was accidently locked outside by Tasha and got sunstroke and had a seizure. Tasha felt so bad she rushed the dog to the vets, that cost $2,500 and she asked Tim if he would loan her $1,600 and he said no.

We had a storm around 7pm but it wasn’t much of a storm and didn’t last long

Steps: 8,480

Here we are at another Wednesday, and it is much cooler then yesterday, it is currently 21C and we are looking at a top temp of only 24C. My BGL was 5.1

Kathy dropped the girls of around 8.45am, Tim is now working this afternoon.

Sue came over around 9.30am and I was able to give her the dress I bought her as well as the top, she really liked the dress, and it looked so nice on her.

Around 1pm Dawson turned up he was here till around 2.30pm, he said he might be back tomorrow to talk to Tim about getting help finding another car.

I have had a rough day my body has been moving a lot all damn day and I am truly exhausted.

Steps: 4,843

Well, it’s Thursday again and thankfully it is going to be another cool day, it is currently 20C with a top of 26C. My BGL was 5.1

It has been a horrible day weather wise, very humid and I don’t like that.

Sandy dropped in to see me she told me she was able to reject the house she was offered in Windale, due to its location.  It was too close to Michelle, and it is a known drug area.

Sandy had emailed the case worker for Landon & Skylar as well as other people with her concerns with the location and it was because of those people she was able to reject the house as they were the ones to contact housing saying the house wasn’t acceptable.

Dawson came over this afternoon to have a chat with Tim about Tim help him find another car.

Tim picked up our new car, it is a Mazda 6, silver in colour and a station wagon.

Steps: 8,140

It is Saturday and the first day of February, I had a 50-minute sleep in as when I got up at 5am I still felt tired so went back to bed setting the timer on my phoned for an hour but after only 50-minutes I felt awake, so I got up.

It is currently 21C and we are looking at a top temp of 27C, with the humidity being 90%

Tim has gone out for the day to his work’s Christmas party, yeah in February, he will be gone all day.

Sandy walked over to see me; she had Skylar with her, she told me that Dave’s car isn’t running and will need to be towed.

Tim got home around 5pm, he said he had a good time.

Steps 11,627

She would be 85 today

My mum would be 85 today and words cannot really express how sad I am feeling that she isn’t here for us to celebrate, if she was here, we would all be at her place, and we would either order pizza for lunch or ger KFC.

I would have sent a reminder about her birthday to all her grandchildren and asked them to pop over and see her during the day and most of them would have done just that.  My parents had 18 grandchildren including Landon and Skylar and 19 great-grandchildren.

Family was very important to both mum and dad and the importance of family they passed on to their children.

Even though she has been gone 4yrs in April I still have times when I pick up the phone to call her, I spoke to mum every day for something like 20yrs sometimes two or three times a day.

Today it is raining so I can’t go to the cemetery as it would be a soaking mess but when it fines up, I will get someone most likely Sue to take me over.

Mum wasn’t just my mum she was my best friend and the loss of her and dad has ripped a large hole in me and I often feel lost without them around. I do believe they are watching over me and the rest of their family.

Week 40 of 2024

After I went back to bed, I settled ok and slept till the alarm went off.

Tim is going with Jess to Sydney today she has people to pick up from the airport and Jess hates Sydney and Sydney’s traffic.

It is 14 degrees and my BGL was 5.0

Tim and Jess arrived home around 2.15pm.

Steps:5,892

It warmed up by 10.30am.

The girls walked down posted my letters for me and Sydney vacuumed for me.

I have very little motivation today

I am extremely tired but can’t sleep

Steps: 5,783

It is 9 degrees and my BGL was 4.2

Kathy dropped the girls off at 8.35, she arrived only a few minutes after Tim left for work.

Had a phone call from podiatrist they have changed my appointment from Thursday to Friday.

Dawson arrived around 1pm for a visit.

Tim rang at 2pm to let me know that he will be late, he arrived home at the same time Micheal arrived to get the girls.

Mother In-Laws……………………………

Image

Mother in-laws do you have one? Do you get along with her? Does she think you are good enough for her child? Does she like you?

My mother in-law passed away a couple of years ago, did we get along well kind of we didn’t see her very often since she lived 2 ½ hours from us and we only ever went to visit her once or twice a year. This had a lot to do with the fact that her house stunk her toilet was so bad it made me want to throw up and Tim felt the same way. In fact when we would visit we would stop at McDonalds to use the toilet before getting to her place then we would go back there after the visit to go to the toilet…

Also I never felt that she liked me much, in fact I think most of Tim’s family felt that I thought I was better than them and in some ways I did. This was because Tim’s family are all Bogan like for those of you who are thing what the hell does “Bogan” mean it means this………………….lol

Bogan: person who takes little pride in his appearance, spends his days slacking and drinking beer

Now Tim’s relationship with his mother in-law aka my mum is very different they have a great relationship and mum is always the first one to defend Tim she will never stand for someone to say anything bad about Tim………………….

Tim has called my parents mum & dad since before we were married…………………….they both think of Tim as their son and are very proud of him………….

I don’t think I ever called either of his parents mum or dad and in fact most of the time didn’t call them anything I would say like hi, how are you but I don’t think I ever added the word “mum” or “dad” or “Betty” or “Ron” ……………….I just didn’t
