Week 51 of 2025

Hi everyone, it is Sunday 14 December and after a rough night I managed 6hrs & 16 mins of sleep, I woke up at 5.35am. I don’t have an alarm set on Sundays.

It has been another stinking hot day, I turned the air con on at 1pm, the temp was 32C or 89F.

I have finished off the Christmas cards and Sue drive me to the post office tomorrow.

I had to leave the air con on when I went o bed as it was still 28C or 82F

Steps:17,142 = 8.7k’s or 5.3 miles

Monday has arrived and the start of another working for some and just another day for others.

Last night there was shorting at Bondi with 42 shot with 16 dead, including one of the two shooters which was a father and son.

Sue came over and drove to the post office so I could post things off. We then went over to Sam’s to drop off gifts for her kids, but she wasn’t home. So, we then went to Lake Fair as Sue wanted to go to Woolies.

Not as hot today.

Steps:12,974 = 6.6K’s or 4 miles

Tuesday, morning and I was up showered and dressed, the ground is wet and it is 16C orb 64F. I had a good 9hrs & 20mins of sleep.

I am not feeling good today, I have a headache and a sore throat and feel so tired.

A wet morning and dry in the afternoon, Tim arrived home around 2pm. As soon as he got home, he went to Tasha’s as she had to go out, and she has someone coming to fix her back door.

Well, the guy turned up and while he was there Tasha arrived home, she started going off at Tim for what reason we do not know anyway he rightly got annoyed and left.

Then Tim came home and tried to ring Booking.com after a while he managed to get to talk to someone who at first wasn’t very helpful but after a while she finally said they would contact the hotel and confirm we didn’t stay there and arrange a refund, we will see.

Steps: 9,015 = 4.6K’s or 2.8 miles

Another warm day, I did a load of washing and hung it out to dry.

I had a good night’s sleep getting 9hrs.

Jess came over at 11am and asked if I wanted to go with her to buy some cupcakes, I said I would. Sadly, when we arrived, they had sold out of cupcakes, so Jess went to the bakery in Cardiff on the way home.

Jess rang me at 3pm and asked me if I could ring the cupcake place and see if they had any available, I did they said they would be available by 4pm so I rang back then and was able to order what she wanted and when she returned home, she brought over one for me.

At 4.45pm I went and got the washing off the clothes hoists and that felt like a task and a half, but I managed.

Steps: 9,533 = 4.8k’s or 2.9 miles

I am up washed and dressed and ready for another day, the temp at 6am is 15C or 50F and we are in for another hot day with a top of 32C 89.6F.

My BGL is 6.2 at 5.30am.

Tim is still in bed as he doesn’t need to get up till 7am, his job today will take him to Sydney

Tim left at 8.30 and I think he said he would be home around 6pm, he has a doctor’s appointment tomorrow at m same time as mine. So, he will drive me there and Sue will meet me there so we can go shopping after my appointment.

It has turned out to be bloody hot but tomorrow it’s supposed to be even hotter. It reached 33C or 91.4F

I have had bugga all motivation today.

Steps:13,903 = 7k’s or 4.3miles

I slept well managed 8hrs & 35 minutes of sleep woke three times to pee and got up at 4.45am, I am showered and moisurised and dressed in house clothes but will change my top for a dress before going out.

Had a doctor’s appointment for scripts then Sue and I went to Sam’s (my niece) to drop of gifts from Mrs Claus as well ad gifts for Tom’s girls.

Sue said she spoke to Jeannie who said she would not be at the sibling Christmas lunch because it’s her partner Peter’s birthday of course he  is able to attend but they never come and Sue said when she asked Jeannie if she would be there she got very angry going off and saying it’s Peter’s birthday last year we had it on a different date and she still didn’t come due  to Pete’s birthday. So, I said I would take Jeannie’s gift to her daughter Sam’s place who will take them to Jeannie’s on Christmas Day.

It is really hot with a temp of 38C or 100.4F. Steps:11,337 = 7.4k’s or 4.5 miles.

I was up before my alarm this morning got up at 4.40am had my washed and dressed for the day, had to vacuum before doing anything else I do not like the look of a dirty floor. Opened the house up and tidy the kitchen before making my eggflip and start reading blogs.

At 5.30am it was 22C or 71.6F, my BGL was 7.4 and I had 6hrs and 21mins of sleep.

At 6.15 I fed the birds.

Tim left for work at 11.30am he will be home around 1am, he is doing a charter.

I wrote 4 letters so I will post them on Monday, hopefully.

I have had a good day been hot but ok inside. Reached a tope of 29C or 84F

Steps: 13,130 = 6 .7k’s or 4.2 miles

Week 50 of 2025

Hi all, I hope everyone is well.

I woke to find Tim asleep on the lounge he didn’t get home till 2am so as I was getting up, I told him to go to bed for a while. I had a good night slept for 8hrs.

It is 25C at 5.30am

We left around 9.30am and arrived at the motor inn at 2.20pm, we stopped at Denman bakery, and I bought a cheese & bacon sausage roll and Tim bought a cheese and bacon pie, and he didn’t like it. The sausage roll was pretty good not the best one I have had but far from the worse.

The motor inn is nice the room looks

It is 28C at 2.30pm

We went to the RSL for dinner, we got roast beef and veggies, I liked it, we were back at motel by 7pm.

I realised that I forgot a comb, my blood test kit, a USB wall plug, brought the charger cables.

I am so tired, but I can’t settle down.

Steps:7,771 = 3.9 k’s or 2.4 miles.

I am up at 5am as per usual, had a rough night, took ages for me to settle. Then when Tim came to bed, he kicked me three times in the left leg.

It is 17C at 5.30am in Dubbo.

Tim said something about putting the walker in the boot first, I asked if it could go in last as he will need to get it out each time I want to walk any distance. He sounded snappy with me when he said NO.

When we arrived at the observatory, he decided to put the walker in the back seat as it was easier to get in and out of the car.

We arrived at Orange around 1.30 pm, when Tim found the place, we were booked into, it wasn’t suitable as there were too many stairs and no lift. So, he cancelled the booking but when he tried to contact Booking.com he couldn’t work it out and the only phone number we could find was in the USA. When we tried to find somewhere else it wasn’t easy most affordable places had no vacancies or were too expensive.

So, we now at Cowra for 4 nights, the room here is ok, although I cannot get into the shower.

The whole Orange accommodation saga made me feel tense and upset as for some reason I felt like it was somehow my fault even though Tim hasn’t done or said anything to make me feel that way.

Steps: 7,490 = 3.8k’s

I slept well once I got to sleep, managed a good 8hrs when the alarm went at 5am I got up took my medication and went back to bed till 6.20am. I then got up had a wash applied make-up and moisturised my arms as per usual, before I got dressed. Tim is still asleep, the temp at 6.30am 12C.

After Tim got up, we went to Maccas for breakie, after that went to tourist info centre before going to check out war cemeteries and the POW camp. After that we drove out to check out a dam.

We stopped and bought pizza for tea; however, I forgot to say I wanted BBQ sauce not pizza sauce.

Our new motel room has a disability bathroom, and it is the only room that has one, we have not been charged extra.

The temp got up to 36C

I had a nice hottish shower, my left arm is very sore.

Steps: 8,455

I slept really well, got a good 7hrs and 50 mins of sleep I am up at 5am as per usual, and have washed and dressed. It is currently 15C or 50F Tim wants to visit the Japanese Gardens this morning after that I am not sure what we will do.

At 7.30am it was 20C in Cowra and 20C in Warners Bay.

The Japanese gardens were so peaceful and lovely, I managed to walk around it. As we left the gardens it was 31C.

After that we went to the shops before returning to the motel, the other things we want to check out are only opened on Thursdays. By 2pm it was 36C

At 5.40pm I was so tired I started to cry in frustration, Tim suggested I lay down for a bit, so I got changed for bed and I am doing that.

Steps: 7,011

I ended up sleeping all night although I did wake on and off, I had 9hrs of sleep and got up at 5am when the alarm went off. After my wash I dressed, although I couldn’t find a washcloth, they were there yesterday arvo I don’t know what Tim did with them. Tim has had the radio going through his phone all night.

I did have 2 bottles of Midori yesterday but that shouldn’t have contributed to how I was feeling.

We went and checked out the peace bell, then we went to the rail heritage centre, both were interesting, but the rail place was not disabled friendly.

We returned to the motel for lunch and while here it started to rain, so we are not going out again.

No need for the air con on this arvo, I think I will be having another early night as I’m feeling tired at 6pm, I also have an earache.

At 6pm it is 22C

Steps:7,837= 4k’s

BLAIN’S BIRTHDAY HE IS 20 TODAY

I slept well, had 9hrs of sleep, at 5.30am it was 15C, my body is moving a lot, and it is exhausting.

Tim got up at 6.30am and we left the motel by 7.15am.

Since we were driving through Bathurst Tim decided to drive around the Mount Panorama Circuit, which was cool, for those who don’t know this is where the Bathurst car race is held, this race is a big deal in Australia.

I had a phone call from Centrelink about my DSP claim; they wanted to know if Tim’s compo claim only involved him and not me as well.

We arrived home at 3.30pm, Blain was at his mums and came to see us and I was able to give him his birthday gift, a $25 Visa Gift Card.

Steps: 11,715 = 5.9k’s or 3.7 miles

Saturday and it’s been a busy morning Tim is back at work I had a good night slept for 7hrs &20mins.

I have been busy since getting up, cleaned the kitchen, vacuumed out put the clothes on to wash all before 6.30am.

Sue came over to show me her new haircut, and she drove me to then shops to get a few things. Her hair looks so good, it’s much shorter so will not be so hot on her neck.

I am going to see if Tim will cut my hair tomorrow.

Steps: 9,892 = 5k’s or 3 miles

Week 49 of 2025

Good morning, all I have been up since 4.40am, why? Well, I had a headache, and it woke me up and I was unable to settle so I got up to take something for it and decided to stay up.

Tim and I went to the plaza to do some shopping, and I had to remove my shoes as I felt unstable walking was so much easier barefoot.

It has been a very warm day, but I haven’t had the air con on. I have had a much better day then yesterday.

Steps: 8,623 = 4.4klms or 2.7 miles

Good morning, it is the first of December and officially the start of summer. I slept well getting just over 8hrs of sleep. At 5.30am it is 14C or 57F, by midday it was 23C or 73.4F.

I sorted out some photos and put them into a photo album, also wrote a couple of letters and fed the birds.

I have noticed a small cut to my right index finger, and I have no idea how it happened, but it is sore.

I have asked Sue if she will take me to the post office on Thursday, she said she was about to ask me if I would like to go shopping with her on Thursday.

By 5pm I am struggling to stay awake.

By 6.30 I was feeling less tired and will stay up later then I thought I would.

Steps: 11,195 = 5.7klm’s or 3.6 miles

I was up at 4.50am again as from 4am when I got up to pee, I had trouble going back to sleep only dozing on and off, so I just got up. I had a good night’s sleep getting 9hrs & 45 mins of sleep.

It is only 12C or 53.6F at 5.30 and my BGL is 6.0.

I decided to sort out the Christmas gifts in have but only got half done as it took too much out of me. I ended up getting Sam to clean off my bed putting the stuff in bags for me to sort out tomorrow. Sue said she would come over tomorrow and help me with the task.

It has been a warm day.

Steps: 11,142 = 5.7K’s or 3.5 miles

I had a rough start to the night but ended up getting around 6hrs & 25mins of sleep. It is 13C or 55.4F at 5am and it is supposed to be another warm day.

After reading some blog posts and having breakie I find myself just sitting doing nothing, well I did do some work on Christmas cards, but I am kinda not all here.

The temp at 9am is 20C or 68F

Sue came over she helped me with the Christmas presents and I sent an email to the iris photo place about the photo for Kirsty. I was hoping it would be easier to get the voucher online for it but couldn’t work it out.

It did warm up to 26C or 78.8.

Steps: 7,975

I slept well in fact I think I was asleep minutes after going or bed and didn’t wake till 3am when I got up to pee.

I did a load of washing and hung it out to dry before I go out with Sue.

BGL:7.1 at 5.30am

Sue and I went to Kmart Sue wanted to buy some clothes, I also bought a few things, including a new Christmas dress which is a bit tight so may see if Sue can exchange it for the larger size, it looked ok on but was difficult to get on and off.

I was having a nap in my recliner when Sandy walked in, she at last came to get stuff I printer for her.

It is another stinking hot day; I have sorted out most of the Christmas presents still have to do a few more.

It reached 31C here or 87.8F had the air con on all day well from 11am.

I got the clothes inside and folded them but left the basket on Tim’s chair and of course he made some silly comment that annoyed me as he is just as able as me to move it.

Steps:14,523 = 7k’s or 4miles

A nice cool morning it is 18C or 64F at 5.30am. I slept well got around 9hrs of sleep.

Tim doesn’t need to get up till 6.30 he has a short day today; said he will be home around 4pm this afternoon.

Sue and I went to exchange our dresses I was able to get a size 18 but there was no size 18 in the one Sue wanted.

I uploaded the payslips for my DSP claim.

Had a long video call with Kathy this afternoon she told me about her trip to Bali, which made me laugh.

This afternoon there was a text fight between Sue and Tasha about my care Tasha got very angry and because she was drunk Sue was also very angry. Tasha put be in the middle of it which also really pissed off Sue. As Sue said it was about me and not with me.

Steps: 9,075 = 4.6k’s or 3miles

I had a good night, got 9hrs of sleep, it is only 23C or 73F and it is going to be another stinking hot day. My BGL is 5.5 at 5.30am

Jessica bought me breakie.

Tasha came down and she was furious her anger is over the top; she and Sue got into a text fight over Tasha’s care of me. This fight got out of hand and Tasha thought I was defending Sue and not her. However, both Tim and I thought she was the one in the wrong.

Kathy heard about some of the events and sided with her mum and aunty.

By midday it is 35C or 95.9F.

Tim is working this afternoon he should be home by midnight.

Tasha came down to let me know she wasn’t angry with me and all is well between us.

I also saw Blain and Jonathon this afternoon.

Steps: 13,703 = 6.9l’s or 4.3 miles

I WILL END THIS BY LETTING EVERYONE KNOW I AM OFF FOR A FEW DAYS AWAY SO I WILL NOT BE VISITING BLOGS

Tim and I went to see our GP this morning both of us had no issues with our blood test results.

I had an appointment with my neurologist it was a video appointment she has made no changes to my medication and since the dyskinesia is often and doesn’t last generally for too long, she is not worried about it but would like me to keep a record of when it happens. My next appointment is in January that one will be a face-to-face appointment.

BGL: 6.5

Sue and I went to see Jeannie and give her birthday presents from me and Sue it was nice seeing her.

It seems Temika was born with something wrong with her arm and need surgery to repair it, it is a big opp they have to break the arm to rest it right, she will have pins and plates in it. I hope it all goes well.

Alice Springs NT Australia

I have spent most of the day trying to decide what the topic of today’s post would be, and I ended up picking the town of Alice Springs.

Aussies commonly refer to Alice Springs as “The Alice” or simply “Alice”.

This is one town I would like to visit one day my parents visited the Alice and enjoyed the visit, I do remember mum & dad telling me that when the bought wine from a bottle shop, they were told to make sure it was covered so it couldn’t be seen by looking in a window and to get in their car and drive to a different area. This was because some of the local aboriginals would break into the car if they saw grog inside and if they were seen placing alcohol in the car and walking away the car would be broken into.

Alice Springs is a remote town in Australia’s Northern Territory, halfway between Darwin and Adelaide, both 1,500km away. It’s a popular gateway for exploring the Red Centre, the country’s interior desert region. Its 1872 origin as part of the Overland Telegraph Line (linking Darwin and Adelaide) is preserved in the vintage buildings and equipment at the Alice Springs Telegraph Station Historical Reserve.

It has an estimated population of around 28,922. This is based on the Alice Springs Town Council LGA profile, which was last updated in January 2025. The town is the major settlement in Central Australia and a significant population centre in the Northern Territory.

The population of Alice Springs is an estimate because it is based on projections and statistical modelling rather than a direct head count. The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) uses various methods, including census data and estimated resident population (ERP) figures, to calculate population numbers, but these are subject to revision and may not perfectly reflect the actual population at any given time, especially in smaller areas like Alice Springs.

Alice Springs was established in 1872 with the construction of the Alice Springs Telegraph Station, part of the Australian Overland Telegraph Line (OTL) connecting Adelaide to Darwin. It was originally named Stuart, but the settlement near the telegraph station was later renamed Alice Springs in 1933. The name Alice Springs was given by W.W. Mills, after Alice Todd, wife of Sir Charles Todd, who was instrumental in the construction of the telegraph line.

The Arrernte people are the traditional owners and custodians of Alice Springs, also known as Mparntwe in the Arrernte language. They have a deep and enduring connection to the land, dating back tens of thousands of years. The Arrernte have stories and significant sites related to the creation of the landscape, including the MacDonnell Ranges.

Alice Springs is famous for its unique location in the heart of Australia, its strong Aboriginal culture and art scene, and its stunning natural landscapes, including the MacDonnell Ranges. It’s also known as a hub for exploring the broader Red Centre region and for its outback character.

Alice Springs faces a complex combination of social and crime-related issues that contribute to a perception of danger. These include high rates of alcohol-related violence, property crime, and domestic violence, along with concerns about youth crime and the impact of past policies. While the town has a diverse population and attracts tourists, these issues have led to increased fear and anxiety among residents.

While Alice Springs faces significant challenges, it’s important to acknowledge that it is also a place of cultural significance, with a diverse population and a strong community spirit. Efforts are underway to address the underlying issues and improve safety and well-being for all residents.

Week 27 of 2025

My watch says I slept for only 4hrs and 17mins and I was awake for 14 mins.

Tim and I went shopping, Tim cashed in the bottles, I bought a new pair of trackies and a new Tee shirt. I also went to Woolies to get a few things. By the time I got home I was exhausted.

It has been warm enough outside for Tim to do some work out the back.

I spent a couple of hours reading and commenting on blogs and cropping some photos.

BGL:5.5

Steps:7,953 = 4.4klms

My watch says I slept for 7hrs and 21mins and I was awake for 9 mins, much better than the night before.

When I got up to pee at 4.15 the bathroom was so damn cold, I turned the heater on and left it on when I went back to bed so that it could warm the room a bit before I went in for my morning wash.

Tim rang me to let me know he wouldn’t be home till this arvo, so I cooked my own lunch chicken schnitzel and chips.

Steps: 10,938=5.80 Klms

It is a wet morning, and I woke with a headache.

My watch says I slept for 7hrs and 34mins and I was awake for 34 mins. My watch analyses changes in physical activity to estimate sleep time and status. It is designed to give one a pretty good idea of how they are sleeping.

It was raining lightly when I went with Sam to wait for her transport this morning.

While I was getting my pizza out of the oven for my lunch my left knee gave way and if I hadn’t been leaning against the bench I would have ended up on the floor. So, I had Jess go and meet Sam this arvo.

Blain came down to check on me and was here for about half an hour just chatting.

Sue has dropped Archie off at Tasha’s while she goes to Qld to visit Kirsty she will be gone 6 days.

It has been a really cold day.

9,310=4.55

It is a wet morning, and I am waiting for Tim to leave for work so I can have a shower.

My watch says I slept for 9hrs and 52mins and I was awake for 30 mins.

Sue caught her flight to Qld to spend some time with Kirsty’s family.

Tasha said Archie is hiding under Blain’s bed, he hasn’t eaten or drank anything.

This afternoon Blain came down and told me they had to remove the mattress and slates on Blain’s bed in order to get Archie out, he said he had to put a towel over Archie’s heard in order to get him out from under the bed. Tasha put Archie into his carry case to settle down.

I am very restless this arvo and cannot stay still.

BGL:5.8

Steps:12,737=6.49Klm

It is a wet morning, and I am waiting for Tim to leave for work so I can have a shower.

I had the worse night I have had in ages; my watch says I slept for only 4hrs and 9mins and I was awake for 33 mins.

I am so cold this morning from around 10am and have a headache. I tried to have a rest during the day but didn’t happen, so I expect to be in bed early tonight.

Thankfully the day warmed up some and I was able to get motivated to answer some letters I have here.

Tim found out we need to go to Centrelink which for those who don’t know is our social security anyway I need a letter from them stating I do not get a payment to hand in to housing so they can stop charging us rent on money we don’t have. I found a phone number and Tim said he will ring them tomorrow.

BGL 5.6

I had a much better night my watch says I slept for only 9hrs and 15mins and I was awake for 39 mins.

Today is the last day of term 2 for school, some schools finished last week like the school Tim does but most in NSW finish up today.

I rang Centrelink using the cordless house phone I was waiting for around 1.5hrs then after I explained what I wanted I was asked to hold while things were checked and after another 25 mins the phone died. I decided I will ring back on Monday as I had enough.

I have been really cold this morning and have a headache I think due to the cold.

Tim left for work around 5.30am, he said he should be home mid-afternoon.

Tim got home around 2pm, the first thing he did was changed his clothes and went out the back to work on the yard.

I am having a rough arvo and night, unable to settle I got up and used the powerfit

Week 22 of 2025

A cold start to the day I was up at 4.45am, I had a shower and dressed, I have been so cold all morning had the heater on a beanie on my head which helped with the headache.

My watch says I got only 5hrs & 9mins sleep.

My left wrist has a sore spot with broken skin, I applied some antiseptic cream and covered it with a band aid, so I am wearing my watch on my right wrist.

I tossed a load of washing in the machine, I am planning to hang it up to dry.

Jessica asked if we could go to Costco and get her a cheese pizza and take it into her at work, and we did. Tim also filled the car with petrol while out there.

We also went to Coles and then checked the P O Box, there was 11 letters, 5 for Tasha, 2 for Tasha 1 for Tim and the rest for me.

BGL: 7.2

Another cold morning, I slept for 6hrs & 13mins but woke up tired and not quite with it.

Sue and I went into the Tafe to have aromatherapy massage done by Tasha and wow what a great massage it was better then the one we had a couple of months back which cost us $90 each. This massage didn’t cost us anything, and we both didn’t realise how good Tasha was at massage. I felt so relaxed that I fell asleep.

This arvo I had an issue with my BGL dropping it went from 4.7 to 3.3 in 20 mins and I had to ring Tasha as I wasn’t with it. She came gave me a teaspoon of honey and made me eat something. Tim wasn’t here he was late home from work due to being caught in traffic due to a road closure.

I woke to the sound of rain again; I hope it doesn’t hang around for long not as cold this morning. I had a good 9hrs & 34mins sleep and didn’t wake at all during the night.

I went with Sue to an appointment, and we also went to the post office to get stamps.

Tim keeps going on about how much weight he has lost, and I ended up telling him that going on about it is upsetting me since I have gained some weight. He did acknowledge that part of the cause is that he goes days with only eating very little. I can not do that as if I go too long without food, I start to feel sick in the gut and get a headache.

It was very overcast when I went up with Sam to wait for transport, I started to take the scooter but felt a few heavy drops of rain, so switched to the walker and of course it didn’t rain and hasn’t rained all day.

I slept reasonably well had 5hrs & 20-mins sleep with 20-mis awake time.

Tim only had his school runs today which saw him home for 4hbrs, so went out to the Eastern Tiger, all you can eat place.

Just as we arrived home Sandra called in to say high, Sue texted Sandy and asked if she would drop off some ginger beer, I had for her, and she reluctantly agreed. Not long after that Sue turned up to get it as she thought Sandy wasn’t going to do it.

While Sue was here, I helped her set up her new email account.

What a day, I was feel sad and like crying due to the frustration of my body moving so much. I said so in a text to Sue who decided to come over to see me and she brought Archi with her, so I was able to have a cuddle. She also brought me the latest limited custard pie from Macca’s this on is a mixture of chocolate and normal custard and was quite nice.

Tasha also bought me a 4pack of mini custard scrolls and when Tim came home this morning, he brought me a sausage roll.

Anyway, he made a smart-ass comment that no one brings him food and that he has to go and buy his own. Sue told me that was right as he is more able bodied and can drive so can get his own stuff.

I had another good night’s sleep slept for 8hrs 35-mins and was only awake for 14-mins. It is cold this morning at 10C and I have the heater going.

I put on the new panty hose they fit but not good around the crotch area just not sitting flush against my body. Had them on till around 1.30pm.

I was ironing when I heard Tasha she was printing stuff and said I was low on ink again so I ordered more.

Tim late home tonight, it was close to 8pm when he arrived home had another run after his school run.

I changed the sheets and damn that left me exhausted.

I had another good night’s sleep slept for 8hrs 6-mins and didn’t wake at all. It is cold this morning at 10C.

We left home at 9am to go to Sydney to see Tim’s sister Jenny, it took us 3hrs & 15mins to get there and 2hrs & 20mind to get home.

The visit went well, it was the first time Tim had seen her in 13yrs.

I was exhausted by the time I got home, I thought I would eat something and go to bed but after I ate, I was ok sitting in my recliner playing games on my tablet and watching the evening news.

BGL:6.5

Jess came over to drop her work shirts for me to wash, she said she was very tired and just wanted to go to bed but she has to drive Sam to Tafe.

Sue rang around 9.30 to let me know her glasses are in and ask if I would like to go with her to pick them up, so I did.

It has rained on and off all day.

Steps:6,728=3.9km’s

I slept for 7hrs and 32mins and was awake for only 7mins according to my watch.

I did a load of washing and hung it out.

I forgot that Sam wasn’t going to school today as it is the sports carnival.

It is a cold day but mostly a dry day.

This afternoon I am feeling sad and don’t know why, I feel life is so damn hard right now.

I am feeling extremely tired this arvo.

Steps:7712=4.5km’s

I slept for 11hrs and 10-mins and was awake for 29-mins during the night. In fact, I was in bed by 6.35 and pretty much fell straight asleep and slept straight through the night.

I am coughing and sneezing a lot this morning and suddenly around 6.45 started to feel really cold. The temp was 15C

By midday it had warmed up to 22C and I had to take my long sleeve singlet.

I slept well, I did wake a couple of times to pee but straight back to sleep. I slept for 6hrs and 59mins and was awake for 24mins during the night.

I started to ride the scooter up to wait with Sam for her transport to arrive but while I was stopped out the front of Jess’s it started to rain so I came back and swapped to the walker. I was waiting for Sam to join me and had my back against the letter boxes, well Sam came up behind me and when she touched my shoulders I screamed. I was recording a text for Sue and had to assure her I was ok due to the screaming.

After I got back it started to piss down raining and rained most of the day.

I mopped the laundry, kitchen and bathroom floors. I also changed the sheets.

Sue went to have her tyre looked at and while she was at the tyre place the road out the front flooded, one small red car was nearly covered in water. To leave she had to drive down the footpath, but she managed it.

Tim rang at 5pm to let me know he will be late due to the traffic. As it turned out he was 30-mins late.

Week 15 of 2025

I had another good night sleeping straight through although I woke with a runny nose and have a headache again. Also, up earlier than normal as the clocks changed and I was awake, only 20-minutes earlier so that’s ok.

The bird Tim was fussing over last night died this morning which is sad.

It is another hot day, and I am having a rough arvo, my left hearing aid keeps falling out which is annoying.

7,129

I slept well in fact at 4am I was getting up as I thought it was 5am, although when I realised my mistake, I got back into bed for another hour.

Tim home for a couple of hours, he got a stern talking to about an accident he had a work a week ago, damaged the bus and something on the street. He still has his job though; he was sure he would get the sack over it.

I have had another bad afternoon with the uncontrollable movement of my body. Did a video and shared it on Facebook so others can see what I have to cope with some days.

I turned the air con on around 1.15pm for a few hours as I was hot and didn’t want to deal with the heat.

Steps: 7,899

I woke up with a headache which is annoying it is a nice cool morning. I used a small, long-life milk to make my porridge this morning.

This morning Sam was picked up by a different driver in a different van, not sure if Joel is off sick or what.

I have felt ok for most of the day did the usual housework.

Sue rang she had a phone call from the hearing aid people who told her my appointment is for 12.30 tomorrow, I don’t know why I would make it for that time I don’t like appointments after midday. Sue managed to change the time till 8.45 instead.

This afternoon I am aching all over and feel extremely tired, I will be in bed by 7.30pm.

Steps:8,692

I woke up tired and my legs will not stop moving making it difficult to stand.

Sue and I went to the hearing aid place, me to have a check I all was good with my hearing aids. Sue had her hearing checked and yes, she needs hearing aids and thankfully she doesn’t need to pay as she is on a pension.

The difficulty with my legs went away by 9am.

After the hearing place we went to Coles so I could get a few things.

By 3pm I was extremely tied again, so tied I found concentrating on stuff almost impossible. I will be having another very early night.

Steps:7,399

I slept all night, and I am doing pretty good this morning, I am going to try and have an hour nap each day from midday to 1pm and see if that helps prevent the extreme tiredness I am feeling of an arvo.

I did have an hour nap, and it did help I am still very tired but not as bad as the last few days.

I did manage to write a few letters today.

The nap has helped I am tried this evening but not so much that I am falling asleep at 6pm.

Steps:6,988

I slept all night, and I am doing pretty good this morning, I had to wait till after Tim left for work to have a shower.

Received a wonderful text message from Sandy last night played it this morning and got all chocked up.

I had to ring Sue this morning as she wasn’t replying to my messages, she phone had restrictions on it as she hadn’t paid her bill yet. She went and spoke to someone about it, telling them she will pay it on the 17th but really needed to be able to receive messages as she was my carer, so they removed the restrictions.

We then went to her doctor’s appointment she has to see someone about her eyes as she needs three health professionals in order to get a care plan.

After that we went to the cemetery, Sue liked what I wrote and left on the headstone. She said I should send a copy of it to the other siblings.

IT’S BEEN 4YRS TODAY SINCE MUM PASSED

I slept all night; I woke at 5.12am wondering where my phone was as it wasn’t next to the bed. I had left t in the lounge-room last night.

Tim and I went over to Lake Fair, I did some shopping while

Tim cashed in some bottles.

It has been a warm day, Tim did some more work in the back

yard and has started thinking about stuff he wants to do out

the front.

Week 14 of 2025

I slept straight through the night again waking only when the alarm went off at 5am.

Tim has a long day ahead of him it will around midnight before he gets home.

I slept all night, there is no rain this morning, just nice and cool at the moment. The temp is 20C with a top of 22C expected.

It turned out to be a warm day, I went and did some shopping at Woolies, cost me $62.

We have had showers on and off all day.

Tim wet up my new smart watch so we will see how that compares with the pedometer I wear on my waist band.

Steps:9,105 pedometer over 13hrs

I slept straight through the night again waking only when the alarm went off at 5am.

Had to wake Jess to wake Sam whose phone was going straight to voicemail.

Around 2pm Sam rang to see if I could get Sue to pick her up from Charlestown and bring her home, so I did, and she did after some rigmarole trying to explain where she would be picked up from.

It turned out to be a warm day. I am wearing the new smart watch Tim bought me, it counts my steps better less guessing on my part.

DAWSON’S BIRTHDAY HE IS 26 TODAY

I slept straight through the night again waking only when the alarm went off at 5am.

Tim said he has been awake since either 1am or 3am I don’t remember what he said.

Sue took me to the podiatrist; all is good with my feet. Sue asked her opinion about Sue’s ingrown toenail on her big toe. She was so concerned that when telling Sue cost to have it removed would be $100 and Sue said she didn’t have the money right now so it would have to wait. She said she would do it for a reduced fee while Sue was there. She ended up treating both big toes for only $20.

I told Sue needs to see her GP about getting a care plan, so she doesn’t have to pay to see the podiatrist. Sue made an appointment for Friday 11 at 9am.

Steps:8,088

I slept straight through the night again waking only once to pee. I am very restless this morning.

I went with Sue while she had her mammogram, on our way home we called in and saw Dave at work.

I wore the new dress I got from Millers that I didn’t order or pay for, it looked nice on.

I am having a bad with my body moving so much, by 4pm I was so exhausted and worn out.

Didn’t do much today

Steps:5,845

I slept straight through the night again waking only once to pee. I am having a better morning then yesterday.

My left arm is very sore this morning I should have got Tim to help me put the shoulder brace on.

I have had a better day then yesterday haven’t done much as my motivation is here and there.

It got as high as 27C, and I had to change into shorts.

Steps: 7,673

I had another good night sleeping straight through although I have woken with a headache, I did remember to get Tim to put my shoulder brace on before he left for work.

It has been another warm day, thankfully I have been good with my body shaking very little till around 1pm when it increased.

I was having a water ice block when it went down wrong causing me to have a bad coughing fit, how annoying.

Steps:6,529

I had another good night sleeping straight through although I woke with a runny nose and have a headache.

I had a nice hot shower.

It has been another warm day; Tim is off this weekend. Temp reached 27C but didn’t turn the air con on.

This evening Tim has had too much to drink and is annoying a baby bird, he keeps picking it up and it has been squawking in distress and I keep telling him to leave it alone. If he was sober, he wouldn’t be doing it.
