I slept well had a good 9hrs & 16 Mins and I didn’t wake at all I even had 2hrs 54mins of deep sleep.

Tim and I went to see our GP this morning both of us had no issues with our blood test results.

I had an appointment with my neurologist it was a video appointment she has made no changes to my medication and since the dyskinesia is often and doesn’t last generally for too long, she is not worried about it but would like me to keep a record of when it happens. My next appointment is in January that one will be a face-to-face appointment.

Week 27 of 2025

My watch says I slept for only 4hrs and 17mins and I was awake for 14 mins.

Tim and I went shopping, Tim cashed in the bottles, I bought a new pair of trackies and a new Tee shirt. I also went to Woolies to get a few things. By the time I got home I was exhausted.

It has been warm enough outside for Tim to do some work out the back.

I spent a couple of hours reading and commenting on blogs and cropping some photos.

BGL:5.5

Steps:7,953 = 4.4klms

My watch says I slept for 7hrs and 21mins and I was awake for 9 mins, much better than the night before.

When I got up to pee at 4.15 the bathroom was so damn cold, I turned the heater on and left it on when I went back to bed so that it could warm the room a bit before I went in for my morning wash.

Tim rang me to let me know he wouldn’t be home till this arvo, so I cooked my own lunch chicken schnitzel and chips.

Steps: 10,938=5.80 Klms

It is a wet morning, and I woke with a headache.

My watch says I slept for 7hrs and 34mins and I was awake for 34 mins. My watch analyses changes in physical activity to estimate sleep time and status. It is designed to give one a pretty good idea of how they are sleeping.

It was raining lightly when I went with Sam to wait for her transport this morning.

While I was getting my pizza out of the oven for my lunch my left knee gave way and if I hadn’t been leaning against the bench I would have ended up on the floor. So, I had Jess go and meet Sam this arvo.

Blain came down to check on me and was here for about half an hour just chatting.

Sue has dropped Archie off at Tasha’s while she goes to Qld to visit Kirsty she will be gone 6 days.

It has been a really cold day.

9,310=4.55

It is a wet morning, and I am waiting for Tim to leave for work so I can have a shower.

My watch says I slept for 9hrs and 52mins and I was awake for 30 mins.

Sue caught her flight to Qld to spend some time with Kirsty’s family.

Tasha said Archie is hiding under Blain’s bed, he hasn’t eaten or drank anything.

This afternoon Blain came down and told me they had to remove the mattress and slates on Blain’s bed in order to get Archie out, he said he had to put a towel over Archie’s heard in order to get him out from under the bed. Tasha put Archie into his carry case to settle down.

I am very restless this arvo and cannot stay still.

BGL:5.8

Steps:12,737=6.49Klm

It is a wet morning, and I am waiting for Tim to leave for work so I can have a shower.

I had the worse night I have had in ages; my watch says I slept for only 4hrs and 9mins and I was awake for 33 mins.

I am so cold this morning from around 10am and have a headache. I tried to have a rest during the day but didn’t happen, so I expect to be in bed early tonight.

Thankfully the day warmed up some and I was able to get motivated to answer some letters I have here.

Tim found out we need to go to Centrelink which for those who don’t know is our social security anyway I need a letter from them stating I do not get a payment to hand in to housing so they can stop charging us rent on money we don’t have. I found a phone number and Tim said he will ring them tomorrow.

BGL 5.6

Steps: 7,966=4.06Klm’s

I had a much better night my watch says I slept for only 9hrs and 15mins and I was awake for 39 mins.

Today is the last day of term 2 for school, some schools finished last week like the school Tim does but most in NSW finish up today.

I rang Centrelink using the cordless house phone I was waiting for around 1.5hrs then after I explained what I wanted I was asked to hold while things were checked and after another 25 mins the phone died. I decided I will ring back on Monday as I had enough.

Steps:8,886=4.48 Klm’s

My watch says I slept for only 9hrs and 22mins and I didn’t wake at all during the night.

I have been really cold this morning and have a headache I think due to the cold.

Tim left for work around 5.30am, he said he should be home mid-afternoon.

Tim got home around 2pm, the first thing he did was changed his clothes and went out the back to work on the yard.

I am having a rough arvo and night, unable to settle I got up and used the powerfit

Week 26 of 2025

I slept for 8hrs and 54mins and I was awake for 36mins, and woke feeling good, although it took me a while to get moving when the alarm went off.

I have had a productive morning did two loads of washing, tossed the sheets into the dryer but hung the clothes on the clothes hoists and took them outside to dry.  Also put the work shirts in the dryer so they shouldn’t be too difficult to iron.

BGL:5.2

Steps:5,758=3.00klms

My watch says I slept for 5hrs and 3mins and I was awake for 8mins, maybe that’s why I don’t feel fully with it. I will have a shower after Tim leaves for work as I am going to the doctors and my hair feels yuck. I also am going to have my blood taken for my six-monthly blood work check.

After the blood was taken, we drove Sam to Tafe and then I went to the doctors for a new referral to see the neurologist that appointment is on the 14 July and is a telehealth appointment. He also said my eye has healed nicely after the fall.

Sue made my appointment with the optometrist that this Saturday at 11am.

Also went and picked up scripts from the chemist.

Tim rang to let me know he will not be home till around 10pm, he is doing emergency rail.

7,351=3.68klms

My watch says I slept for 7hrs and 43mins and I was awake for 7mins, I do feel ok at the moment as in awake and functioning.

No school for Sam today she has an 11am appointment with the hairdresser and Jess can’t see the point of sending her for only a couple of hours.

It is a cold day, and we have had rain around 11am. Around 2pm someone came and repaired the roof so hopefully no more leak.

Sam haircut looks good.

BGL: 5.2

Steps: 4,688 which equals around 2.35klms

My watch says I slept for 8hrs and 20mins and I was awake for 48mins, I am feeling good this morning, have already vacuumed out and tidied the kitchen.

After Sam left for school, I decided to mop the bathroom and kitchen floors, while doing the bathroom my right knee felt like it started to dislocate but then it didn’t, and the knee has been very sore and unstable since.

When I go to meet Sam this afternoon, I am going to use the scooter as it feels like it may give way at any moment.

Just had plumbers arrive to look at the roof, I told them someone was here yesterday he said he would check it out anyway. I was waiting for him to come and tell me if all was good but nope, he just left.

BGL: 5.1

Steps:6,015= 3.11klms

My watch says I slept for 8hrs and 56mins and I was awake for 14mins, I had a shower and let the hot water run over my knee and it has helped with the pain and movement.

Sue and I went to Charlestown Square to meet up with Sandy and she had Denni with her and our niece Samantha was there and her eldest Hayley and our nephew Dawson was also there it was really great seeing everyone. Sue did her grocery shopping and then we left, by the time I got home I was barely able to move.

I put a heat pack on my right knee and sat and rested for a while after an hour or, so I was doing much better and able to walk and move without too much pain.

I still took the scooter up to meet Sam by Monday I am hoping I will be ok.

BGL: 5.2

Steps:5,111=2.56klms

My watch says I slept for 9hrs and 57mins and I was awake for 55mins, my knees yes both of them are painful this morning.

I did a load of washing and hung it up to dry and by the time I was done I was exhausted, and my back ached something shocking. I had to have a rest before doing anything else. I didn’t take the washing outside as it felt like it could rain, and it did end up raining around 1pm.

Thankfully it wasn’t raining when I went to meet Sam.

I am extremely tired this arvo and even though it’s only 6.30pm I am off to bed as I am falling asleep sitting here.

BGL:5.8

Steps: 4,506=2.30klm

My watch says I slept for 10hrs and 41mins and I didn’t wake at all during the night. I am feeling fine this morning and have already vacuumed once and cleaned the kitchen.

Sue took me to have my eyes checked and all is good with them.

It has been a cold day; Tim has been saying he is bored as the yard is too soggy to work on. After a while he found something to do but once he did that he was bored again.

Steps:5,129=2.62klm’s

Week 25 of 2025

I slept straight through the night again 7hrs and 24mins and I was awake for 8mins.

Been a good day, turned out warm and Tim did a lot more work in the back yard and it is starting to look good.

Me well other than getting the clothes of the line, folding and putting them away, I ironed the work shirts and that was a bitch of a job because we soaked them overnight in wash booster stuff, they were extremely wrinkled, and I hadn’t put them in the dryer just hung them out to dry. I won’t make that mistake again. I also vacuumed but that’s all the housework I did.

I spent the rest of the day watching YouTube and reading blogs.

BGL:5.8

Steps: 6,946=3.60

I had a rough start to the night it was around 11pm when I finally settled so only had 4hrs and 54mins of sleep.

Sue drove Sam to Tafe and I went with them as I had a 8.36am doctor’s appointment, I was home by 9.30am.

What an afternoon, at 1.40 I tripped on the mat under my computer chair and fell flat on my face, splitting above my left eye open. I managed to call Tasha who thankfully was home, and she was here in less then a minute. She helped me up and onto the lounge, she cleaned the wound and rang people.

Sue took me at first to my GP then to Belmont Hospital where I was for 4.5hrs. I did not want to go to the hospital, then did a ct scan which was normal. I had a mild concussion and wasn’t with it for around 2.5hrs, by the time I was called into be seen by a doctor I wasn’t doing good as I hadn’t taken my afternoon meds and had an internal tremor as well as an external tremor.

The doctor wanted me to have blood tests and an ECG but I said no there is nothing wrong with my heart and my bloody pressure was normal and I just wanted to come home. Sue got very firm with them telling them we would be leaving and if she had to sign something she would but that wasn’t needed, and we left can came home at 6.45pm.

When I got home, I took my meds and within 15mins I was feeling much better.

Also, Tim rang about our rent subsidy application and was told it wasn’t in our file, they lost it, so we had to resubmit it via email. That should have been easy, but no the email kept bouncing back, I told Tim I would try from my Gmail account, and I think it went, well it didn’t bounce back. My watch says I got only 5hrs & 9mins sleep.

My left wrist has a sore spot with broken skin, I applied some antiseptic cream and covered it with a band aid, so I am wearing my watch on my right wrist.

I tossed a load of washing in the machine, I am planning to hang it up to dry.

Jessica asked if we could go to Costco and get her a cheese pizza and take it into her at work, and we did. Tim also filled the car with petrol while out there.

We also went to Coles and then checked the P O Box, there was 11 letters, 5 for Tasha, 2 for Tasha 1 for Tim and the rest for me.

Tim keeps going on about how much weight he has lost, and I ended up telling him that going on about it is upsetting me since I have gained some weight. He did acknowledge that part of the cause is that he goes days with only eating very little. I can not do that as if I go too long without food, I start to feel sick in the gut and get a headache.

It was very overcast when I went up with Sam to wait for transport, I started to take the scooter but felt a few heavy drops of rain, so switched to the walker and of course it didn’t rain and hasn’t rained all day.

I said so in a text to Sue who decided to come over to see me and she brought Archi with her, so I was able to have a cuddle. She also brought me the latest limited custard pie from Macca’s this on is a mixture of chocolate and normal custard and was quite nice.

Tasha also bought me a 4pack of mini custard scrolls and when Tim came home this morning, he brought me a sausage roll.

Anyway, he made a smart-ass comment that no one brings him food and that he has to go and buy his own. Sue told me that was right as he is more able bodied and can drive so can get his own stuff.

Russia

Good morning, everyone, this week’s country is Russia, now this is a country I am pretty sure every man and his dog has heard of. It is after all one of the major countries in the world.

It has a long history, and this may be a three-post country because of that. It was founded way back around the year 862.

The capital is Moscow, and the population is around 144 million.

Russia, the largest country in the world, occupies one-tenth of all the land on Earth. It spans 11 time zones across two continents (Europe and Asia) and has coasts on three oceans (the Atlantic, Pacific, and Arctic).

The Russian landscape varies from desert to frozen coastline, tall mountains to giant marshes. Much of Russia is made up of rolling, treeless plains called steppes. Siberia, which occupies three-quarters of Russia, is dominated by sprawling pine forests called taigas.

Russia has about 100,000 rivers, including some of the longest and most powerful in the world. It also has many lakes, including Europe’s two largest: Ladoga and Onega. Lake Baikal in Siberia contains more water than any other lake on Earth.

Russia is part of two continents, Europe and Asia and of course the language is Russian.

The currency is the Russian ruble, issued by The Central Bank of the Russian Federation, notes are issued in denominations ranging from 5 to 5,000 rubles. The obverse of the banknotes is adorned with images of structures and monuments, including a bridge over the Yenisey River in Krasnoyarsk, the Bolshoi Theatre building in Moscow, a monument to Peter the Great in Arkhangelsk pictured in front of a sailing vessel. Coins are denominated in values from 1 to 50 kopecks, and there are also coins ranging in value from 1 to 25 rubles.

The flag is a tricolour with three equal horizontal bands of white, blue, and red. The white stripe symbolizes nobility and honesty, the blue stripe represents love and loyalty, and the red stripe signifies courage and love. This flag was first adopted in 1696 as an ensign for merchant ships under the Tsardom of Russia.

The symbolism of the flag is this.

White: Represents nobility and honesty.

Blue: Represents love, loyalty, and faith.

Red: Symbolizes courage, love, and sacrifice.

The flag was first adopted in 1696 as an ensign for merchant ships under the Tsardom of Russia. It was later adopted as the national flag in 1993.

Religion plays a prominent role in the public and spiritual life of today’s Russia. The majority of believers belong to the Orthodox Christian denomination. Russia adopted Christianity under Prince Vladimir of Kiev in 988, in a ceremony patterned on Byzantine rites.

The constitution recognises the right to freedom of conscience and creed, but it also acknowledges the special role of the Russian Orthodox Church in the country’s history and culture. While the Russian Orthodox Church is the largest religious denomination in Russia, it does not have the status of an official state religion. The law recognizes Christianity, Islam, Judaism, and Buddhism as “traditional” religions in the country.

In theory, Russian women have equal rights with men as guaranteed by the Constitution. However, in practice, significant inequalities persist, particularly in the workplace and in areas like domestic violence and reproductive rights. While the constitution mandates equality, women face discrimination and societal expectations that prioritize motherhood over professional development.

While domestic violence is illegal, many forms were decriminalized in 2017, and support groups for victims have been labelled as “foreign agents”.

There are ongoing efforts to limit abortion access and potentially introduce mandatory counselling and husband’s consent for abortions.

Women in Russia have been able to vote since either 1917 or 1918 depending on site you look it up on.

Well tha’s enough for this post more next week.

I started to ride the scooter up to wait with Sam for her transport to arrive but while I was stopped out the front of Jess’s it started to rain so I came back and swapped to the walker. I was waiting for Sam to join me and had my back against the letter boxes, well Sam came up behind me and when she touched my shoulders I screamed. I was recording a text for Sue and had to assure her I was ok due to the screaming.

After I got back it started to piss down raining and rained most of the day.

I mopped the laundry, kitchen and bathroom floors. I also changed the sheets.

Sue went to have her tyre looked at and while she was at the tyre place the road out the front flooded, one small red car was nearly covered in water. To leave she had to drive down the footpath, but she managed it.

Tim rang at 5pm to let me know he will be late due to the traffic. As it turned out he was 30-mins late.

Week 19 of 2025

Well, we still have the same Prime Minister, Albo got in for a second term.

The weather app said it wouldn’t rain but it has been raining on and off, both Tim and I went down to Coles to get a few things.

I did a load of washing and hung it out on the clothes hoist to dry.

I set up a new email account for Sue.

Tim cooked tea, crumb chicken and some baked veggies with gravy of course.

This evening when it was time to close the back sliding door Tim was complaining about the clothes hoists being in his way and it was very difficult to reach the door, I asked if he would like me to do, he said my bum is bigger than his so how would I be able to do it. I thought by moving things but said nothing.

Here we are at the start of another working week, or school week this week Jess is driving Sam to Tafe. It is a cool start to the day but then I have the back sliding door open, did I have trouble opening it, NO I moved a chair then moved the clothes hoists a bit and had no trouble reaching the door to open it.

It has been a warm day, I took the clothes off the line and put them away, I just had a baby corella walked into the house right up to the hallway when I noticed it, I said what are you doing, and it turned and ran out of the house.

Jessica brought over an early Mother’s Day present a pair of knitted slippers they are very warm which is good as my feet often get cold while I am sitting in my armchair.

Steps: 8,574 = around 5km’s

Had another good night my watch tells me I had 8hrs and 43mins of sleep.

No school for Sam today, she has an appointment with her paediatrician after lunch and as Jess has arranged for Sue to drive them, she said she isn’t going to get her to go to the school the to the hospital for the appointment as they are in two opposite directions. She asked Sue to drive them because whenever Jess has driven them, she cannot get anywhere to park, I never had a problem finding a park and Sue says she doesn’t have a problem either.

I was watching telly and had put my head back and closed my eyes for a bit when the postie arrived, she opened the door said she was sorry to disturb me and handed me my mail. Not all posties would do that.

When Sue came to pick up Jess and Sam, I gave her the present I did for her for Mother’s Day and she loved it, she got emotional and cried a little. Told me I didn’t have to do that which I

Sue messaged me and said when they got to the hospital there was nowhere to park so she dropped them off and parked out on the road but after 5 minutes decided to try again and that time, she found a parking spot no problem, so said Jess is right it is her.

Turned out to be a warm day.
