Week 18 of 2025

I slept reasonably well, woke to the sound of rain, it is supposed to rain most of the day.

Tim caught another baby corella and took it into the vet again as it was so cold and looked like a drowned rat

It has rained all day, and it is cold as well and I have pain in both knees due to the pain.

This afternoon he caught another drowned rat corella and hopes it will be able to dry out and warm up now it is inside.

Tim rang our neighbour’s son to find out where would be best to buy a cage, he said he would make us one and will be out on Tuesday to talk to Tim. Turns out he is with Wires and knows a lot about these birds.

I had another pretty good night, woke to the sound of rain again, some rain this morning.

Sam had an issue with Tasha on the way to Tafe she was on her phone, and it was raining so Sam snatched it out of her hand. Now Tasha said she will not drive Sam to Tafe any more till unless Sam apologises to Tasha.

Jess came down and was here for over an hour and we had a nice chat. I rang and asked Sue if she would drive Sam to Tafe if Jess were unable to do it.

It has rained on and off all day, didn’t need to go and check the letterbox as the postie came down to drop off the two books I ordered and brought the letters with her. This may seem the commonsense thing to do but we at times have a man doing the run and he doesn’t do that. I mean he will place the letters in the box and bring down the parcel.

Tim released the bird this morning when he got home from work.

Steps:6,020

I had another pretty good night, woke to no rain which was nice, we are supposed to get showers on and off all day.

Sue rang and said she had a phone call letting her know her hearing aids were in and they could see her at 11am. She is happy with them.

Then we went to the shops so I could get ham and bread. Tim made a comment that I didn’t ring and see if he wanted anything, I bit my tongue and said nothing as he never or very rarely rings and asks if I want anything. Also, when I was leaving, he said he may not be here when I got back.

We are having a wet and cold afternoon after a warm day.

Steps: 9,330

First day of term two for school and of course it is cold and wet and supposed to rain on and off all day again. This means I am going to have to walk up with Sam this morning.

I have both sliding doors open but will shut them soon.

Due to the wet weather, I tossed the clothes into the dryer. I also changed the sheets.

Shopping came at 3.10pm, I was waiting for Sam but managed to stop the truck and let the driver know that sliding door was open and to just put the shopping in the kitchen. Which she did.

Steps:8,322

First day of term two for school and of course it is cold and wet and supposed to rain on and off all day again. This means I am going to have to walk up with Sam this morning.

I only have the back sliding door open, Sam brought down some washing to toss in our dryer, she said that their dryer makes the clothes smell. I will make sure Jess is aware of that and looks into it.

Thankfully at this time we have no rain.

We have had rain on and off all day and this afternoon it is really cold and wet. Also, my body feels really stiff and achy moving isn’t easy as well feeling stiff I am in pain. I am so tired I will be in bed by 7.30 tonight.

Steps: 8,398

Sue and I went to have her eyes checked she needs glasses that have different strength lens for each eye. The cost was $180, I paid for them she should be able to pick them up in two weeks times, the cost to have her eyes checked was nothing. She had put off having them checked as she didn’t think she would be able to afford it.

After that went to Coles for a few things and Sue bought be a small fruit bun from Baker’s Delight, which when I had it contained no fruit. It was like a small round finger bun.

I realised that yesterday I didn’t use the Powerfit, and I wonder if that is part of the reason, I was so stiff and sore yesterday.

Not as much rain today.

Steps: 9,221

ELECTION DAY

Yeah, time to vote in the federal election, I already voted as I do a postal vote, Tim has already voted as he is working all day, but my girls and Blain will need to vote.

I have turned the heater on this morning as I am so damn cold.

The day has warmed up and I have had a good day. I worked on the envelopes for the letters I have to answer by that I mean I applied my address stamp to the back of each envelope and added stickers and a postage stamp and the ones I had to print an address for I added the address to the front of the envelope already to start writing letters tomorrow.

Managed to write 3 blog posts for the coming week. Sent reminder texts to family members reminding them to vote.

Steps: 6,818

Week 17 of 2025

Up and dressed and ready for the day, it is going to be another hot one. It is Easter Sunday and since Dad died on Easter Sunday 2019, this is a sad day for me and my siblings, tomorrow will also be a sad day because it will be the date of his passing.

Sandy called in on her way home from the cemetery as Skylar needed the toilet.

By 1pm I had to turn the air con on as it was 28C, I have a headache this afternoon.

Steps:7,359

DAD PASSED AWAY THIS DATE 6YR’S AGO

Up and dressed and ready for the day, it is going to be a warm day as in not as hot as yesterday, but we will see.

Tim and I went to visit Kathy and family, after we left home, I realised I didn’t have any medication in my bag, so I didn’t take it till we got home at 11am.

I had to have a nap as my headache was making it hard to concentrate on anything.

I have done bugga all today, I did some blogging, wrote a letter and vacuumed out. I also emptied the bins.

Steps:9,130

Another day is here, I had a restless start to the night but once I settled, I slept through till the alarm went off.

Tim went and voted, he then went and handed in Jess’s lease review. He also went and blood taken before going and getting fresh bread.

After the movie Tim was watching finished at 4pm I had him hang four more photos for me.

At 6.15pm I had a burst of energy and rearranged some photos and did some dusting. I then vacuumed again.

I have been sweating on and off all day.

Steps:9,320

After getting up and having a nice hot shower I am dressed and ready for the day, supposed to be a wet one.

Tim has work this morning, thankfully.

It started out cool but warmed up and I changed into shorts.

Someone came and looked at the path up to Bears door, he said someone he will be here tomorrow to even it out.

Steps:6,120

Another good night’s sleep, Tim had to get up at 3am as he had an early run before his training.

Someone came and evened out the footpath out the front of Bear’s house so he shouldn’t trip on it anymore.

Tim didn’t get home till after 5pm so it was a long day for him.

I managed to write a few more letters.

I am feeling really drained by the end of the day.

Steps: 7,737

Today is Anzac Day

Another good night’s sleep, it is a cool morning and looks like it may rain. I have done a load of washing and hung it out to dry. I changed into shorts but with Tim leaving the doors open I may have to change into longer pants again.

Kathy and Summer came over for a visit after they left Tim caught a sick looking corolla ad took it to the vets but first, he rang Wires, they gave him a code, so he doesn’t have to pay.

Steps:6,590

I slept well, Tim and I went to the shops, I was surprised when Kathy rang this morning as I wasn’t expecting her to as she was here yesterday.

Sue came over to pick the shoes I ordered for her from Temu, I also gave her a pair of leggings she was pleased with them.

It’s been a nice day, had to change into shorts.

Steps:7,197

Week 16 of 2025

I slept all night; I woke once to pee and then when the alarm went off. The day started off cool and warmed up.

Didn’t do much today, same can be said for Tim he sat around watching telly all day but nothing wrong with a lazy Sunday.

Steps:3,555

I slept all night; didn’t wake at all till the alarm went off, Tim has work he should be home around 2.30pm.

Yet again I ordered the wrong ink for my printer, I am so annoyed with myself. When I mentioned it to Tim, he said maybe I shouldn’t order it in future and let him do it, this I think I might do.

Tim received a parcel it contained 2 bottles of lavender talcum powder, which he didn’t order. I really like the powder so it will not go to waste.

It has been another warm day.

Steps: 8,319

I slept all night again, woke once to pee, this morning I woke to the sound of rain, it is supposed to rain on and off all day.

It is a cool day, Tim and Sam went to cash in Sam’s cans. Tim also got rid of all the Coles bags.

It fined up enough for Tim to do a few things out the back or just sit in the sun listening to the radio. He also made a few phone calls to who I don’t know but I don’t need to know.

Tim advertised the printer ink I bought by mistake on Facebook marketplace, so hopefully I will be able to sell it and recover some of my money.

Steps: 6,549

I slept all night again, didn’t wake at all, I am getting use to this sleeping all night.

Sue took me to the doctors so I could have my flu shot, also had a vaccine for pneumonia. As we were getting in the car Sue saw some woman waving at her, it turned out to be Jeannie who is down this way for a doctor’s appointment but was early so decided to swing by my doctor’s surgery to see me and Sue. She gave me a reusable shopping bag that folds up into its own bag that has my name on it. I love it.

Before I left this morning, I told Tim the washing machine only had 20-minutes to go, he said he would hang it out. When I got home, he had forgotten about the laundry, so I had to see to that, also had to vacuum and tidy the kitchen.

Tim wanted to go to the Eastern Tiger for lunch I had him ring first and they said they could fit us in at 1pm, which was later then Tim expected so we didn’t go.

Steps: 7,001

After restless start, had to get up and us the Powerfit for 20 minutes, but after returning to bed I settled fast and sleep through to the alarm.

Tim had to be at work by 4am he finished at 8.30am, he then took the car to the auto-electrician to fit a light bar to the front of the car, but the fella reckoned it was booked in for next Thursday. Tim was able to play him the recorded phone call where he said he would see him this morning at 9am. The guy then said he didn’t know why he said that.

It has rained on and off during the day.

Had a good day even though I had a headache on and off and a runny nose on and off that I put down to my flu shot.

Steps:6,860

Another good night it is a cool morning but should heat up.

Kath rang and asked me if I had her school reports, but I don’t even but I stilled pulled out everything from the dining table seats. I could not find them.

By midday I had changed into shorts due to how warm it is.

Sue received a lovely voice message from Sandy. Also, she had a good talk to Kirsty who was operated on yesterday and although she talked it down it turns out it was a big operation. She had to have the bicep tendon in her arm repaired. She had damaged her shoulder while at work last year.  Sue has told her if she needs her mum to go and help her, she will find the money to get a flight there.

I walked up and checked the mail; my postal vote forms came I will fill them in and send them off over the weekend.

Steps:4,680

Up and showered ready for the day, yes, I had another good night. It is another cool morning but should warm up, we are looking at a 27C day at the moment it is only 12C

Tim and I went to Coles (supermarket) to get a few things after returning home I have been working on the laptop and he is outside working on the yard.

Blain and Ta’lia came down to show us their new tattoos

By lunch time it had reached 27C again, thankfully with both front and back doors open there was a nice cool breeze so no need for air con.

Steps: 6,716

Week 15 of 2025

I had another good night sleeping straight through although I woke with a runny nose and have a headache again. Also, up earlier than normal as the clocks changed and I was awake, only 20-minutes earlier so that’s ok.

The bird Tim was fussing over last night died this morning which is sad.

It is another hot day, and I am having a rough arvo, my left hearing aid keeps falling out which is annoying.

7,129

I slept well in fact at 4am I was getting up as I thought it was 5am, although when I realised my mistake, I got back into bed for another hour.

Tim home for a couple of hours, he got a stern talking to about an accident he had a work a week ago, damaged the bus and something on the street. He still has his job though; he was sure he would get the sack over it.

I have had another bad afternoon with the uncontrollable movement of my body. Did a video and shared it on Facebook so others can see what I have to cope with some days.

I turned the air con on around 1.15pm for a few hours as I was hot and didn’t want to deal with the heat.

Steps: 7,899

I woke up with a headache which is annoying it is a nice cool morning. I used a small, long-life milk to make my porridge this morning.

This morning Sam was picked up by a different driver in a different van, not sure if Joel is off sick or what.

I have felt ok for most of the day did the usual housework.

Sue rang she had a phone call from the hearing aid people who told her my appointment is for 12.30 tomorrow, I don’t know why I would make it for that time I don’t like appointments after midday. Sue managed to change the time till 8.45 instead.

This afternoon I am aching all over and feel extremely tired, I will be in bed by 7.30pm.

Steps:8,692

I woke up tired and my legs will not stop moving making it difficult to stand.

Sue and I went to the hearing aid place, me to have a check I all was good with my hearing aids. Sue had her hearing checked and yes, she needs hearing aids and thankfully she doesn’t need to pay as she is on a pension.

The difficulty with my legs went away by 9am.

After the hearing place we went to Coles so I could get a few things.

By 3pm I was extremely tied again, so tied I found concentrating on stuff almost impossible. I will be having another very early night.

Steps:7,399

I slept all night, and I am doing pretty good this morning, I am going to try and have an hour nap each day from midday to 1pm and see if that helps prevent the extreme tiredness I am feeling of an arvo.

I did have an hour nap, and it did help I am still very tired but not as bad as the last few days.

I did manage to write a few letters today.

The nap has helped I am tried this evening but not so much that I am falling asleep at 6pm.

Steps:6,988

I slept all night, and I am doing pretty good this morning, I had to wait till after Tim left for work to have a shower.

Received a wonderful text message from Sandy last night played it this morning and got all chocked up.

I had to ring Sue this morning as she wasn’t replying to my messages, she phone had restrictions on it as she hadn’t paid her bill yet. She went and spoke to someone about it, telling them she will pay it on the 17th but really needed to be able to receive messages as she was my carer, so they removed the restrictions.

We then went to her doctor’s appointment she has to see someone about her eyes as she needs three health professionals in order to get a care plan.

After that we went to the cemetery, Sue liked what I wrote and left on the headstone. She said I should send a copy of it to the other siblings.

Steps: 6,668

IT’S BEEN 4YRS TODAY SINCE MUM PASSED

I slept all night; I woke at 5.12am wondering where my phone was as it wasn’t next to the bed. I had left t in the lounge-room last night.

Tim and I went over to Lake Fair, I did some shopping while

Tim cashed in some bottles.

It has been a warm day, Tim did some more work in the back

yard and has started thinking about stuff he wants to do out

the front.

Steps:5,339

Week 14 of 2025

I slept straight through the night again waking only when the alarm went off at 5am.

Tim has a long day ahead of him it will around midnight before he gets home.

I slept all night, there is no rain this morning, just nice and cool at the moment. The temp is 20C with a top of 22C expected.

It turned out to be a warm day, I went and did some shopping at Woolies, cost me $62.

We have had showers on and off all day.

Tim wet up my new smart watch so we will see how that compares with the pedometer I wear on my waist band.

Steps:9,105 pedometer over 13hrs

 3,877 watch over 4hrs

I slept straight through the night again waking only when the alarm went off at 5am.

Had to wake Jess to wake Sam whose phone was going straight to voicemail.

Around 2pm Sam rang to see if I could get Sue to pick her up from Charlestown and bring her home, so I did, and she did after some rigmarole trying to explain where she would be picked up from.

It turned out to be a warm day. I am wearing the new smart watch Tim bought me, it counts my steps better less guessing on my part.

Steps 6,669

DAWSON’S BIRTHDAY HE IS 26 TODAY

I slept straight through the night again waking only when the alarm went off at 5am.

Tim said he has been awake since either 1am or 3am I don’t remember what he said.

Sue took me to the podiatrist; all is good with my feet. Sue asked her opinion about Sue’s ingrown toenail on her big toe. She was so concerned that when telling Sue cost to have it removed would be $100 and Sue said she didn’t have the money right now so it would have to wait. She said she would do it for a reduced fee while Sue was there. She ended up treating both big toes for only $20.

I told Sue needs to see her GP about getting a care plan, so she doesn’t have to pay to see the podiatrist. Sue made an appointment for Friday 11 at 9am.

Steps:8,088

I slept straight through the night again waking only once to pee. I am very restless this morning.

I went with Sue while she had her mammogram, on our way home we called in and saw Dave at work.

I wore the new dress I got from Millers that I didn’t order or pay for, it looked nice on.

I am having a bad with my body moving so much, by 4pm I was so exhausted and worn out.

Didn’t do much today

Steps:5,845

I slept straight through the night again waking only once to pee. I am having a better morning then yesterday.

My left arm is very sore this morning I should have got Tim to help me put the shoulder brace on.

I have had a better day then yesterday haven’t done much as my motivation is here and there.

It got as high as 27C, and I had to change into shorts.

Steps: 7,673

I had another good night sleeping straight through although I have woken with a headache, I did remember to get Tim to put my shoulder brace on before he left for work.

It has been another warm day, thankfully I have been good with my body shaking very little till around 1pm when it increased.

I was having a water ice block when it went down wrong causing me to have a bad coughing fit, how annoying.

Steps:6,529

I had another good night sleeping straight through although I woke with a runny nose and have a headache.

I had a nice hot shower.

It has been another warm day; Tim is off this weekend. Temp reached 27C but didn’t turn the air con on.

This evening Tim has had too much to drink and is annoying a baby bird, he keeps picking it up and it has been squawking in distress and I keep telling him to leave it alone. If he was sober, he wouldn’t be doing it.

Steps:7,959

Week 12 of 2025

I had a damn good night slept straight through; it is warm at 6am so yeah, it’s going to be hot again.

I had to turn the air con on, I had a headache from the heat.

I decided to order pizza and get it delivered, haven’t done that in years but I walked in the kitchen couldn’t find anything for lunch, we have no bread, so decided on pizza.

It has been stinking hot all day out the back in the sunlight it was 48C at 1pm. It has finally sunk into Tim that often the temperature stated on apps and telly isn’t taken in the sunlight but in shade and there is often a big difference.

I had a damn good night slept straight through; it is much cooler this morning and there is a strong wind.

Tim had to come home from work he failed the breathalyser, he was just over, so he is now off for the day. I wasn’t surprised as he did drink a lot yesterday and he didn’t eat much all day.

This afternoon Tim booked our next cruise it will be next April as in April 2026. It is an Australian cruise going to Tassie. Jess and Tasha are coming with us. I wish Sue could come with us.

I am really tied and feel sad this afternoon.

I had another good night slept straight through again. A cool day and a productive morning doing housework.

It warmed up during the day but wasn’t hot.

After I had my wash, I did my makeup in the bedroom as Tim wanted to use the bathroom. I have decided I will do that in future as it will be easier than having to rush.

When I was getting the clothes out of the washing machine, I found one of Sam’s rings that was missing.

This afternoon I have felt tired and sad why I am sad I do not know.

I had to make a Dr’s appointment as I need a script, it’s Friday morning at 8.48am.

Steps: 7,949

I had another good night slept straight through again. A cool day but it is supposed to warm up.

Sue came over to ask for a roll of toilet paper, I gave her two rolls, also gave her the last couple of bottles of vodka cruisers. She drove me down to get a loaf of bread.

While waiting for Sam this arvo I started to feel like shit, extremely tired, slight headache and nauseas.

I felt unwell I went to bed at 7.15pm but woke at 9.30 and was unable to settle again, so 10pm I got and used the powerfit for 20minutes, after I finish this, I’m going back to bed.

Steps:10,399

I am feeling much better this morning and after I went back to bed I slept through the night. Tim only has his school runs today so will be home between 10am and 1.30pm.

It is 19C this morning but should reach 29C by 1pm, my BGL was 5.5

At around 11.15am I started to feel really tired again.

I turned the air con at 1.30pm.

I have zero motivation this afternoon but at least I don’t feel sick.

Steps:5,226

I had a good night; I am waiting for Tim to leave before I have a shower and get ready for the day.

It is currently 18C and we are looking at a top of 28C.

Sue drove me to the doctors all I needed was a script, I also went to Woolies for a couple of things.

It started to rain around 11am but thankfully stopped when I went up to wait for Sam.

Tasha came down looking for bolts in Tim’s shed she couldn’t find what she needed so she will be off to Bunnings tomorrow. Tim said he also needs to go to Bunnings.

Steps: 2,652

I had a good night; I sleeping straight through till the alarm went off.

I have a lot of lower back pain this morning and feel very tired, I started to fall asleep while waiting for Kathy to all and she rang at 10am.

After a slow start I picked up and managed to write a couple of letters and write up Monday’s and Tuesday’s blog posts.

Tim bought Macca’s for lunch what I wanted was right, but he wanted a Big Mac and that’s not what he got. He said he was going to ring and abuse them, I told him to ring and calmly say he got the wrong order, he did as I suggested and as we live close by, he went back, and they replaced the order without issue.

Tim also finally helped Tasha put a cupboard on her bedroom wall.

Mining Disasters

This week we are talking about mine disasters in my area, that being Newcastle in New South Wales.

My paternal grandfather was a coal miner as was his father both worked at the Standford Merthyr collier, I believe my great-grandfather was killed while working he was crushed between two mine train cars also known as minecarts or mine wagons, are specialized rail vehicles used to transport ore, rock, or other materials within mines.

There is a miner’s memorial in the town of Kurri Kurri which has a plaque with all the names of miners who passed while working in the local mines and his name is on it.

I know my grandfather was working at the mine at the age of 14.

One of the first disaster was on Monday 21st March 1898 at the Dudley pit around 9.20 am a huge explosion was heard as far away as Belmont and a rumbling underground as far away as Newcastle.

Coal dust filled the air for more than 15 minutes, when it had cleared it was realised the pithead roof had been partially blown off, the shaft cage had been propelled from the bottom of the shaft 30 feet into the air, lots of other destruction and trapped men inside. The local town folk ran to the pithead hoping for survivors, but the loss of life was inevitable given the extensive underground damage, smoke and poisonous gases.

There was little hope of survivors, but the rescue team worked late into the night. Over the next 2 weeks the rescue team managed to recover 10 out of the 15 bodies.

The mine was flooded and there were still fires burning underground. The decision to close the pit was made and it was not re-opened until 17th June. Newspapers at the time reported on the dangers of the mining industry and this explosion was one of many world-wide.

The official inquiries and inquests found there to be an accumulation of a huge volume of gas in the pit to be the major cause of the disaster. The only comfort for the townsfolk at this time was that there were not more men killed as only the shift men and some officials were underground.

Normally there could be up to 200 working on-site.

Moving on in April 1946 rain caused subsidence at Cessnock No 2 colliery, this led to heat build up and the fires that followed made national news. Some thought the fire should be blasted with artillery or bombed from the air to get the fires under control. Of course, local residents thought those were stupid and dangerous ideas, thus the idea was scrapped.

Some thought that the 10m coal seam should have been mined using open cut mining, but during WW11 it seems the government pushed for underground mining.

At Easter 1946 previous predictions of a possible collapse, heating and fires if the rich seams were worked underground were proved right.

The fire underground was so fierce that at times flames burst to the surface shooting up to 10m into the air. Great sinkholes also appeared in the ground around the area and there were awful smelling fumes around causing distress to local residents.

Explosives were used to blow in the sides of the craters and soil was dumped in.

Miners from all over the district joined in to help control the huge blaze.

There have been many other disasters it isn’t the safest of industries to work in.

Week 11 of 2025

I was up at 5am as per usual after a shower I was ready for the day even though I only had maybe 3hrs sleep last night.

Kathy and family called in so we could give Summer her birthday present, it was a crochet kit to make a turtle and a kangaroo, she loved it.

It started raining around midday and rained on and off for the rest of the afternoon.

By 2pm I was feeling oh so very tired. I did manager to stay awake till 8.30pm.

Steps:11,640

I slept well, didn’t wake till the alarm went off at 5am.

Sue took me to Woolies so I could get a few things.

Jess had me go over and help her prepare a casserole in her slow cooker, even though I had written out instructions for her. After it was done, she had Sam bring me a small bowl of it, I thought it tasted just fine.

It has been decided that Tim and I along with Tasha & Jess are going on a cruise in November, so I spent a couple of hours this afternoon finding a cruise and getting prices.

Steps: 5,699

I slept well, didn’t wake till the alarm went off at 5am. Although I went to bed at 8.30pm, woke at 10.30 and got up for an hour on returning to bed I went straight off to sleep.

It is a sticky morning, and I don’t like it.

Tim came home as his sporty was cancelled and while he was here, he had the front sliding door opened even though while I was in my armchair I was cold due to the breeze I said nothing. I did close the door when he went outside, and he opened it again when he came inside.

Steps: 5,380

I slept well, didn’t wake till the alarm went off at 5am. It is raining this morning and suppose to rain most of the day.

It started out cool but warmed up by 11am.

Well, it didn’t rain all day thankfully and this afternoon before I went to meet Sam I vacuumed out and mopped the kitchen and bathroom floors, I also folded the laundry these jobs took half an hour and left me feeling like shit. I was so unsteady I decided to take the scooter up to wait for Sam instead of walking.

Steps:5,667

I slept well, didn’t wake till the alarm went off at 5am. I have to wait till after Tim leaves to have a shower, it is going to be another warm day.

I turned the air con on at 1pm as I was sweating so much. Although when I walked outside it didn’t seem that hot.

Sam told me this afternoon that she is going away for the weekend with Bailey and his family, I hope she has a good time. I asked Sam if Bailey’s parents knew he was gay, she said he isn’t gay because he nonbinary. I said nothing but thought well yeah, he is gay as you are both male.

Tim decided it was time to again state to me how much he despises referring to Sam as she, I told him again I get it, but it is better than alienating Sam he said that he tries to just refer to use Sam’s name which is what I told him to do.

Steps: 6,227

KELLI’S BIRTHDAY SHE IS 31 TODAY

I slept well, didn’t wake till the alarm went off at 5am. We are in for another bloody hot day with a temp of 32C

I turned the air con on at midday and turned it off at 5pm.

Sam has gone away for the weekend with her friend Bailey and Bailey’s family.

Blain came down and asked if needed can he hang out here on Sunday as he doesn’t want to be alone in the house with Benny who still hasn’t left. Blain told his mum if Benny isn’t gone by the end of the month him and Ta’lia will be moving out.

Steps:10,621

I had a decent enough night, there is a lovely breeze through the house, but we are in for another bloody hot day.

Tim and I went over to Lake Fair, and he bought a couple of pairs of trousers. I got some photo frames then I went to Woolies for a few things.

Tim is working this arvo and night he said he should be home between 11.30 and Midnight.

It has been very hot today so hot I started to feel unwell and turned the air con in the bedroom on to help cool that part of the house down.

Had a nice talk with Sandy this morning.

This afternoon I walked up to meet Sam but while I was waiting a white van pulled in and I just knew it would be a delivery for us, so I came back, and it was, and it was heavy so I was glad I could get the delivery man to carry inside for me. I then decided to take the scooter up as my legs were shaking and I felt unsteady.

It is 5.30pm and I am feeling like shit, I have a headache.

I am having a restless night.

Since I am up, I checked my emails and had one from Miller’s about a $5 sale so went into the site ordered 5 things, they had 2 of the 5 but not surprised as they are closing down.

It is a cool morning with a temp of 17 degrees, my BGL was 5.5

Sue has been feeling sad today as it would also be Mick’s birthday, and it has made her sad.

I gave Tim the folder with the messages I asked people to write to him for his birthday, he has read through it and seems happy with it a bit surprised so many wrote something.

It has been a hot day reached a top of 29 degrees.

Kathy and the girls came over to see Tim and they gave him three small garden gnomes which he has placed around his garden out the back.

Here we are at another Monday, and it’s supposed to be a hot one, it is currently 23 degrees, and we are looking at a top temp of 32 degrees.0

Tim took Sam for a driving lesson they were gone a couple of hours.

By 2pm it was 33 degrees and by 4pm I was starting to feel unwell due to the heat. I have a headache and a runny nose and generally feel not so good.

It is 11.30pm and I just woke up drenched in sweat, Tim had turned the air con off when he came to bed. I won’t turn it back on, but I will use the fan in it and see how that goes.

Steps:7,661

Well, it’s Thursday again and thankfully it is going to be another cool day, it is currently 20C with a top of 26C. My BGL was 5.1

It has been a horrible day weather wise, very humid and I don’t like that.

Sandy dropped in to see me she told me she was able to reject the house she was offered in Windale, due to its location.  It was too close to Michelle, and it is a known drug area.

Sandy had emailed the case worker for Landon & Skylar as well as other people with her concerns with the location and it was because of those people she was able to reject the house as they were the ones to contact housing saying the house wasn’t acceptable.

Dawson came over this afternoon to have a chat with Tim about Tim help him find another car.

Tim picked up our new car, it is a Mazda 6, silver in colour and a station wagon.

Steps: 8,140
