Christmas is a happy and cherished time all around the world. This is a time when family ties seem stronger and closer than ever. It is a time to draw together the strands of friendship that have loosened throughout the busy year.
Christmas means many things to many people, but the key words to its joy are “loving” and ”giving”. Gifts and greetings pour out in a great flood during this season.
New friendships are formed, old ones renewed and revitalised, this is a time when heart speaks to heart and the message is LOVE….
Dearest Jo-Anne,
The true Christmas is about the birth of Jesus—our Messiah.
But it has morphed into an ugly feast of ‘want’…
That is very sad. We’re in our 40th year as immigrants but we’ve never given in to that brainwashed commercial Christmas.
To us it is still about the very same.
On Sunday I have lend my soprano voice to the chancel choir and together with organ, piano and orchestra we performed in honor of God.
Pieter enjoyed it so much and especially the glorious Hallelujah chorus by Händel.
It must have been that Händel got inspired by God himself as it is otherworldly…
May you and your family find that true connection!
Hugs,
Mariette
I like to give but I don’t spend a lot of money on gifts it isn’t about money but love
Christmas is about the birth of Jesus! What greedy people have made out of it to satisfy their never ending want—is totally separate from the true Christmas.
They again come back on Valentine and for Birthdays and on and on…
Merry Christmas to you and yours!
I couldn’t agree more
People tend to forget their FINAL DESTINATION…
That they do
