  1. Dearest Jo-Anne,

A nap can do wonders and I often take one that lasts 2 hours…

You might try to do so as well.

This week has been a very heavy stressful week.

The workers came on Tuesday at 8:30 AM and put in the sliding door in bedroom, onto the balcony. Also the door in the veranda. They were working on it when I noticed it not being white/white but rather grayish looking so I called their boss, who’d sent me a voice mail announcing they were on their way and if I needed to call him—do so. Sure glad I did and he said I will be there by 3:30 PM. The crew was gathering tools at 3:15 PM and I told them their boss was on his way…

How glad I was I’d called him! The sliding door in bedroom has two spots for a foot–kick lock and it was only fully working for the one, when ajar. So he had them correct that. The bifold indoor shutters were put on but now they could not move past the handle of the new door so he had them add a fill in and hang them from there so they created enough space to go past the door handle.

The door in veranda has a lock and by turning the handle upwards 2 deadbolts come into action at top and bottom for added security. The boss demonstrated that to me and I was impressed by this great safety concept being well incorporated. He then locked and opened it in real time and it went rather stiff and difficult. He asked me to try and I could not at all so he had them adjust the entire locking stystem. Now it works as it is supposed to.

They left at 5:30 PM instead of wanting to leave at 3:15 PM… Sure glad I called their boss!

But the worst is that next day the 9 windows in the veranda did not get placed. They got ordered and paid for half on July 11… On back order the phone call said and arriving on October 10! That is unacceptable to me and for such expensive home improvements from Renewal by Andersen.

Will hear more early this week IF they can do it sooner.

Hate for having part of the furniture stowed away for that long and for having had to schedule everything around the initial date and then nothing…

Have to drive this afternoon to Savannah = 2 hours but in bad weather with high winds due to hurricane season.

Tomorrow my appointment with vascular surgeon and he will tell me IF I can start the procedure for having a donor kidney or IF I can have dialysis at all with my left subclavian artery being closed due to that aortic dissection due to accident… Whatever the outcome it is not anything I am looking forward to.

Feeling so tired and exhausted most of the time and having such a hard time sleeping due to constant pain. Life is not easy to manage like this!

    Big hugs,

    Mariette

    1. Yeah a 2hr nap would be better for me but some days I feel like I don’t have the time, why I feel like that I don’t know.

Good thing you rang the boss about the doors, or they would have left with the job unfinished.

What excuse did you get about why the windows haven’t been done.

Let me know what is decided about your kidneys
