Hi I am a 49 yr old mother and nanna, but I am also a daughter and sister and aunt and wife……………………I have been married to the love of my life for 28yrs this year and can honestly say I am still in love with him, we have had our good times and bad times but we are in this for the long haul…….
I love to blog and to write letters to pen pals and get together with my family, I come from a very close knit family and we see each other on a weekly basis and often get together. I know I am lucky to be part of a loving a connected family…………
Ok I have decided to do an update here as for one think I am no longer 49 but 61 and so much has changed since I wrote this way back when. Like I have Parkinson’s Disease now and life is a daily struggle but it could be worse, not sure how right at this moment but I am sure it could be. I still have pen pals and I am still part of a wonderful supportive family, however, I have lost both my parents and that is hard as I miss them so much. I have two of my three daughters living in the same complex as me & Tim which I love.
I also know have a transgender grandchild, Leo is now Sam and Sam is transgender he likes to be referred to as she or her, this has caused tension in the family but we have managed to move on. I am very close to Sam she is someone I can rely on to try and cheer me up when I am sad, I see Sam at least 5 days a week often more then that.
I am still married to the love of my life Tim even if he is a pain in the bum at times, he is my pain in the bum. Tim had a motorbike accident in November 2022 and has been off work since and ended up getting fired from his job as a bus driver as it was taking too long for him to get the all clear to go back to work. He is now trying to find another job, he has the all clear to go back to full time work.
The older I get the more proud I am to be an Australian.

Hi there thanks for dropping in and pleased you liked my blog and hope you come on back again…………
Hi Joanne, Your blog is great. It loads quickly and looks nice. I love the statement at the top of your blog, it’s a perfect way to introduce readers to what your blog is about. I have just two concerns for your blog that might help you out. The font is so light and small that it might be hard for many people to read what you have written. My only other concern is that you have no like buttons or sharing buttons. People like to show their appreciation and don’t always have something to say. People like to “like you” when they enjoyed a post. Having sharing buttons like twitter and facebook are a great way to get more traffic to your blog if you want to build it up. Hope this helps. All the best. 🙂
I do have a “like” button along with twitter and facebook buttons but as for the font well that is something I will have to try and change……..thanks for the feedback I really apppreciate it…..
Anytime. The content was really wonderful.
